  1. Incest in Otome games- Love, Hate or Neutral?

I dislike it; it's one of the things I always research to avoid encountering, but I can't. I'm very close to my brother, and even in fiction, I can't understand it, especially since these are precisely the paths that carry the weight of the plot. I dislike it less if there's no blood relation at...
  2. Do you have any preference (game content, tropes, characters, seiyuus, characters' personalities, looks) that will make you dive into the game?

Artistic style is the most important thing, but if there's police drama or mystery involved, I'm definitely in!
  3. When finishing a delayed game from the backlog.

Yes, I've felt that way, but honestly, if I don't like a game enough to play it for a long time, I just abandon it or play a short otome game like DL.
  4. Bride/Bone/Bansish - CupidParasite

Bride : Ryuki (one of my top LI's) or Jupiter >_< Bone : Allan Melville Banish : Gill Lovecraft >_< Srry Gill but i hate ur personality stalker
  5. Do you finish all routes? Or games you have quit in middle

It depends. That's exactly why I read reviews. If there's a Genki character, 80% of the time the route doesn't make sense. It makes me feel like I'm wasting my time. So I have several games I haven't finished: - Radiant Tale: I haven't done any routes. I gave up; it just wasn't my kind of game...
  6. What's the most wasted premise you've seen in an otome game?

I went into Mistonia's Hope with high expectations, hoping to delve into a revenge plot that would surprise and heartbreak me, since the LIs ultimately became the targets of revenge. However, depending on the protagonist's route, the writing in this otome game shifts from caring about her...
  7. Secondary characters and "main" characters as romantic interests?

I have several! The most recent one I think is Isaac and Knox from Crazy Chain; they were too appealing not to have a route or some kind of extra section. The fact that Adam from Bustafellows doesn't have a route seems like an affront to the otome industry. I really expected him to have a route...
  8. Do you read reviews? What's important to you in a review?

I read a lot of reviews before playing a game, usually localized games. For Japanese games, I read them afterward or just random comments on Twitter. That said, I hate insincere reviews. If a game has a problem, like poor development, just tell me! I remember playing Mistonia's Hope based on a...
  9. Would you prefer works with very strict storyline locks?

As long as the other routes are well done there's no problem, UN:Logical and CxM are examples of that. An example of how much I HATE having routes blocked is Mistonia's Hope, Alfred's route was HORRIBLE, I definitely didn't want to do it and ended up skipping it to free myself from that ordeal...
  10. What do you think about mini-games in otome?

It depends on how it's adapted. For example, TMGS has two short minigames, which I believe are per route, but they're not very repetitive, and you have many other things to worry about, so you don't really notice them. JackJeanne is a perfect example of how adapting minigames into a visual novel...
  11. The most haunting bad ending?

    Mozu - Bustafellows 2. Limbo - Bustafellows 1 Noa Arimura - Blackish House - Bad Endings 3 - 4.
  12. Do you prefer playing on a portable device or on PC?

I play on my laptop, so I can play sitting or lying down anyway; it would be impossible for me to read a visual novel for that long on a console because of my vision problems.
  13. Do you prefer plot-heavy otome or romance-focused ones

I prefer heavy-plots combined with romance, 50/50 too; in fact, my favorite games like UN:Logical, OverRequiemZ, CxM, and Bustafellows aren't characterized by having a lot of romance, but they do keep you hooked at all times, keep you on edge, and teach you to appreciate romantic moments more.
  14. Lynettee

[Otome] [Switch] sins of KALEIDO 塔巡りし因果の魔女

+1 I need to leave a reminder that I want to play this game
  15. 'sins of KALEIDO' out now! 7/16/2026

    I feel scammed (。╯︵╰。)
  16. [Your opinion on diabolik lovers]

I usually play DL routes when I play any otome with +40h. I think its short chapter format can be a welcome change of pace, as long as you can tolerate the LIs, of which there are many options. Not all of them are idiots; there's Shuu, Reiji, and Subaru, who, in my opinion, are the most decent...
  17. Worst happy endings?

In DiaLov Dark Fate, Kanato route, Auger's "Good Ending" in BWS— Matsurik no Kei, Fuen route— A good ending, Ascot route— Psychedelica BB, Kagiha route—
  18. [JackJeanne] How did they manage to complete the game?

I have a serious problem with JackJeanne. I like the game, but the stats system is a nightmare. Don't get me wrong, I love games like TMGS, but I'm already on my third route and I'm going crazy. How do you do it? I see people who skip routes in just two days, but I can't help getting bored...
  19. Which otome game has the craziest plot lines?

Honorable mention to Auger's ending in BWS
