I found out about otome games through mobile games specifically the shall we date ones and those gacha mobile games. Looking back they were trashy but a beloved memory of mine was waiting for those daily tickets. At the and I discovered the vn type otome games after researching for complete...
So I know all these childhood friend, classmates, coworkers, step brothers are sometimes already in love with Mc prior to the start of the game. So was wondering if others preferred one to the other. I am pretty split its nice to see a yearner LI from start but also nice to see them fall in love...
I don't mind cause I don't really think much about the characters age in the first place. Many games have barely legal Mc and much older LIs still that does'nt stop me from playing. Are they problematic? Maybe, but at the end they are fictional and I don't ponder over it.
The current era! The games are more polished and every route has separate stories unlike before where only the choices are different to get different ending. I am not a fan of stat building either, I find it tedious. So I am really loving the current style
I used to go through an entire game quickly before but now that I am older I space my games and take my time completing the game. Many people I know have quit playing games and watching anime cause they don't relate to high schooler protagonists and all? But I don't think I will ever quit...
Lesser LIs cause the routes are longer and more fulfilling. When there are more LIs the routes tend to shorter but honestly having more LIs than normal is fun too since many games generally have standard 5-6 LIs.
Age is not an important factor for me but I have noticed that younger LIs are more yearner types? So I am weak to that especially if they are clingy and vying for attention. I blame Marius and Tokisada for making me like LIs calling Mc Onee chan.
Since Yandere has become more popular I feel like the word is so misunderstood now. People only see the more extreme ones or use it for characters that not actually Yandere. I like the more repressed Yandere that don't actually seem like ones like Crius from Even if tempest, Jinshi. I don't...
So just wanted to know if many prefered one to the other. My votes for the Blushy LIs specifically the ones that blush once in a while rather than the tsundere blush. But my friend does like LIs that are more stoic and never really blush at all.
I like it when poster boy and secret route LIs are separate. Like in Amnesia, Virche. This balances the game for me plus points if the poster boy is not forced to be canon route. Poster boys are also generally the more safer more grounded personality most of the times too. Not my fav but not...
Once I finish any game I just feel a little empty especially if the game was particularly good. So technically I take a break after playing any otomes.
I am not proud to admit that I have quit few games in middle cause of being busy with work and having less free time in general and I was a completionist before too. Lover pretend didn't feel like playing Kazuma and Asagi routes so I quit. Hakuouki too I didn't play one of the new guys route. It...
Am I greedy if I want both😂. But romance has to there it's non negotiable. If its not there then its just visual novel for me not otome and I definitely favour otome games more
Although I agree that most of the games with lesser LIs that I read have overall better writing but I feel it all comes down to writing in the end. Charade maniacs had better routes as well as bad routes but the game wouldn't have worked if there were less LIs. Same with norn9. So for all these...
I would be fine with since I play with default name most of the time. Rather I would like the heroine to be called by name than always being called 'you' or 'hey'. So this might work for me and in cases where the MC's name is significant to the story. Though otome games allowing name change is...
As much as I find some side couples cute I wouldn't want to see their development constantly on screen, just a mention of how they are doing at some point story works better for me. Feels like their story is separate and does not force itself into the route or LIs story. I would rather have the...
The misogynistic guys who like to remind you that they are the 'man' and you are just a powerless lil girl, reminds too much of irl stuff. Other than that LIs who are indecisive.
I don't think it's very popular, it has grown in the last few years but still niche. I don't find otome gamers in gaming community a lot. The only places I can interact with other otome players are in their own separate spaces and I don't consider all those villainess manhwa fans otome fans...
