Not really…? I play as if I’m an actor playing the heroines role, so I immerse myself in this kind of separated way. As if I’m learning her emotions and how she thinks and acting and feeling accordingly to portray her well in a TV show or something

Hack and slash or a tactical rpg otome game…? I never thought about it before but I really love these two types of games, and if there was one that was specifically focused for women and had good romance I would really enjoy it!
I really want more flawed MCs in general, I want them to have personal struggles that are addressed just like the LIs, idk it’s just something that I really enjoy when it happens

100% agree! My favorite types of MCs are the ones that have struggles in one way or another, I do not like perfect personalities or heroines that always act in the best way possible etc. I want more MCs that are unstable in this way!
I’m more of taking a break from the game for a long time when I get like this, but I almost dropped Karasuba’s route from Psychedelica of the Black Butterfly. I didn’t give up because it was the last route I played, but I did not vibe with his character at all.
I usually pick my answers based on what i would do in the specific situation when I play blind, so it usually depends on if that would be compatible with the answers for the good ending or bad ending. I have gotten good endings first try just as I have gotten bad or normal endings too.
Ooohh thank you so much! English only otome games are also very much welcomed!
In my original post I meant to say I wanted Japanese otome games that are not licensed in English preferably since I already know most of the ones with official english translations hahaha (but even then I was...
I’m the exact same way! When the game has a recommended route order to avoid spoilers I always follow it! If it happens to be one with a character that I’m interested in then great, but if not it’s also great hahaha and I don’t pick for certain who are my favorites until I complete the whole...
Not really in the sense of if I like it or not, but it can change how I perceive the tone of the game. My first Hatoful Boyfriend route was the heaviest one so I didn’t have the same experience of “haha cute silly game” that a lot of people had depending on their first endings. Cupid Parasite is...
I really like games that have secret routes! But it’s really rare for me to have one as my favorite, especially if the MC doesn’t spend a lot of time with him in the main story or other routes you know? I looove knowing parts of the LIs personality trough the other routes, because this builds a...
I like reading every text that is available to me in the games I play because I’m insane lmao! I love reading these definitions, even when I know what they are talking about I just want to read it because it feels nice to me hahahah
Nanami from Norn9 is absolutely my favorite! (I love all three of them but if I have to choose just one…) I also love Cardia! I tend to have a preference for a more quiet and serious type of MC, that is closed off but craves affection.
My unpopular opinion is that Yui is also one of my...
I love otome games with different MCs! I prefer my protagonists with distinct personalities too (even if they are more passive and quiet, I also consider this a personality even though some people don’t). What I find really interesting that I wish happened more in the games is when there is only...
My funniest otome game taste change was in Amnesia hahaha I used to hate Toma with a burning passion and Shin was one of my favorite LIs ever when I first played.
But nowadays Toma is one of my favorite LIs and I still love Shin but not that much anymore lmaaooo
I don’t have a specific game in mind, but I would love it if some otome games that are more plot focused and have few romantic scenes had more fandiscs focused on the romance now that the main plot is over. I really love this type of fandisc! And I’m usually less scared of playing them than...
