I don't mind how tragic or heartbreaking the story gets, as long as it ends with a happy ending. After everything the characters have been through, they deserve some happiness.:cry:

Virche Evermore, the art is gorgeous, but the despair is so intense that you can't just move on after finishing it. Also some of those endings are genuinely hard to forget.

I kind of love listening to this one because the voice in CD is so soft that I find it hard to bear. Especially when he said, "Please don't go; that screen actually destroy me." :oops:

One thing I can't tolerate is an LI who already has a fiancée who loves him or is still in love with someone else, which is often seen in villainess/otome-isekai manga. I know it doesn't show up in the otome games I play, but if a game did have it, I'd probably just drop it immediately.

Honestly, it's mostly the art for me. If the art catches my eye, especially the character designs.

Long hair, especially long white hair. I don't know why, but I genuinely find it incredibly hard to resist :oops:

It's not really my thing. I think most people wouldn't like being with someone who still has feelings for someone else. It would probably make the relationship feel like you're competing with a person who isn't even there, and I'd rather the LI be emotionally available and genuinely focused on...

actually, I haven't studied Japanese, but I can understand a little from playing so many otome games. I still have to rely on translations to fully understand everything, though :cry:

Since I'm playing Over RequiemZ, I like looking up fanart on Twitter/X to find fanart of LIs i have played. There are also some short comics that are really fun to read.

I have use once but only in 5 minute. I prefer otome games because they has intentionally storylines, routes, CGs, music, voice acting, foreshadowing, and character development, whereas AI characters simply react to what I say.

Right now just Over Requiemz , where I genuinely like every LI so far. I'm still playing it, but I already love the whole cast. Because I usually only like one or two LIs in an otome game, so the fact that I genuinely like everyone in this one is pretty rare for me

I just realized I actually don't have many poster boy LIs that I'm biased , except Yves from Virche. And ironically, his route isn't even the true route lol.

I prefer finishing every route, but I've quit a few games halfway because the writing just wasn't good enough to keep me interested. :miku_shiver:

Yes, unfortunately. If I see everyone enjoying a new otome game or posting it on X, I can't stop thinking about it until I play it myself.

I still prefer having the option, even if I rarely use it. Players who enjoy self-inserting can rename the MC, while those who prefer her default identity can simply leave it unchanged. It feels like the best of both worlds.
