This is very hard to choose! I think all 3 can be very good but I will go with Historical fantasy > Slice of life > Detective.

I also prefer just having 2 choices because it'd be so hard to see other endings if I was trying to play without a guide. And if there were 5 choices and all 5 choices lead to all 5 different stories / plot, then that's great because it's more content, but if 3 of them lead to same/similar route...

I listen to them although I'm big on self-inserting too. I also like the comfortable vibe it gives and it's fun when the VA share a little bit of themselves. For some reason the cast-talk doesn't bother me with self inserting

I vote pure fluff / comedy! Serious plot is good when im in the mood for it but most of the time I want to relax and just have fun without thinking too hard.

I like to get on with the story so I like visual novel only. Little bit of light gameplay is ok but nothing that makes me grind for hours just to see the next event or plot!

I like to self insert whenever I can, so I prefer to have heroine's voice off. Having MC's voice really doesn't help with that
