  1. Do you think Japanese creators should take down games from their dark history period?

There's nothing we can do about this. It's one of the cultural differences Japanese creators have in comparison to the West.
  2. Do you prefer playing 3D otome games or 2D ones?

2D because 3D games still seem like they're stuck in the uncanny valley.
  3. What do you think of female routes in otome games?

I just think that then that's not an otome game anymore. It'd be just a romance game and that's okay. Otome isn't a label that should be pasted on anything even remotely related to romance. Let's not treat it as a buzzword...
  4. Does bad music ruin your immersion in Otome games?

I don't think the music is the issue for me, it'd say it's rather bad sound design or mad mixing (be it for general ambient sounds that loop weirdly or that of the voices where they all seem to be set at different volumes)
  5. Do you use a guide or go in blind when playing otome games?

I find using a guide more time efficient.
  6. Have you ever played a doujin otome game?

I really need to play more doujin games, man...
  7. What do you think about Code: Realize?

I think it's a pretty safe choice to recommend to people who're complete newbies to the genre.
  8. Death of mobile games

Yeah, it's one of the reasons I don't play these kinds of games. If I pay for something I want to know I own it. And I also like the stories I read to have a proper ending, otherwise the overall journey ends up feeling kinda aimless to me.
  9. What's a game that everyone seems to love but you hate?

I actually don't know because I prefer to focus just on what I like and forget about the rest lol
  10. Is it worth it to get a Switch Lite just for Otome games?

Ignore the FOMO, I'd say it's better to be PC only for these games but that's just my opinion as a working adult who has limited time for gaming nowadays. The expense doesn't feel justifiable especially when I already have a normal switch and I don't plan on getting the switch 2.
  11. Do you self-insert while playing otomes?

I see the heroine as a placeholder for the reader.
  12. AI art in otome games

If someone isn't willing to spend time of their life learning the craft necessary to produce the art they want to make, then I'm not willing to spend time of my life looking at it or engaging with it. It's as simple as that.
  13. What you do with the games played?

Hoard them like most people who are into niche stuff that can get disappear from the internet at any moment. It's become an instinct atp.
  14. If you were able to get rid of any one trope forever, what would you choose?

Miscommunication is a complete no-no for me. The most interesting games for me are the ones where the characters actually dare to speak to each other about their issues.
  15. Who else miss the old/veteran seiyuus in otome games ?

I'm not particularly a VA fan, but even I start to notice the same voices being repeated and it's hard to fully immerse myself in the story when the voices remind me of other characters. Actually, I would also like to hear more distinct voices from newer people in the industry.
  16. How do you feel about LIs who still have feelings for someone else?

Depends, I still haven't come across a game that managed to pull this off. However, I think it has some potential to be a great set up for a story.
  17. Do you look at otome game artbooks?

Surprisingly, not really. I guess the amount of new content they usually bring isn't worth it for me.
  18. Club Suicide English Translation

It's very bad imo and I've seen other people talking about it. But it's still a challenging game to read even for natives because the text quotes famous Japanese authors, so unless you've done some background reading on Japanese classics you'll probably miss some of the extra flavour and...
  19. What are some fresh concepts/themes you’d like to see used in a new title?

I need an otome that has Roman emperors as LIs, please. Or Greeks gods with an art style similar to Cupid Parasite. I think it'd be a hit.
  20. Why do you enjoy playing otome games? What draws you to the genre?

It's stuff made by women, for women, from a female pov and that's the only kind of media I'm interested in at the moment. It's also a great medium for learning Japanese so that's a plus.
