At first, I played otome just for fun. Along the way, I find many people with similar interest as me and we become good friends. Because I really like to play game, I was lucky to get into a game company and worked there for a few years. I also participate in developing some otome games there...
I prefer good ending because bad ending left a bad taste. I play game to find fun, not to suffer more. Life is already depressing as it is, so I just want a fluffy sugar dose.
For me, it's Mystic Messenger because the features of the game are unique at that time. Chatting with the characters is also fun because it's relatable so it's kind of healing for me at that time. Even if my life cycle is kind of messed up because the time feature, I can laugh it off now.
Usually, I'm drawn to a certain type of character like The Grand Duke of The North type. However, if the male lead has a unique charm different from the usual archetype, I will grow to like him too.
Minigames are okay, but I don't really like to play puzzles. If I can skip the minigames, it saves me a lot of trouble to save my time so I can play more efficiently.
For me, I like LI who is the same age as MC or not too old, maybe 4 years gap is still okay. If the LI is too young, it feels like I'm a criminal, wkwkwk 😂. If the LI is too old, it feels creepy too.
Mostly I only play the router of characters I'm chasing. Unless, the game story is very interesting or I need to unlock some routes first to meet my fav LI, I'll complete the game.
If there are too many LIs and it's gacha games. The proportion of content needs to be balanced, and the gacha rotation too. So, the fans of one LI won't feel their fav LI is negelected by the company.
Most English VA work doesn't appeal to me, the only English VA I can listen is Love & Deepspace characters. It doesn't sound awkward and have it's charms
