I think it's because otome games are about romance.
People who aren't familiar with otome games might think they are just about the MC being loved by ikemen 🥲
However, in Japan, we don't really get criticized by people who don't play them.
I think they simply have no interest in it.
I prefer playing games without seeing any spoilers beforehand, as it makes the experience much more enjoyable.
However, I don't mind spoilers for games I have no intention of playing.
I can accept almost anything if an LI loses his mind out of deep love for the MC.
But I'm not a fan of LIs who are just unhinged or full of themselves.
By the way, I like Crius too!
Wow, thank you so much for all the replies!
I went ahead and downloaded Seduce Me—the one thesunkissed recommended—and played a little bit of it. Yes, this is exactly what I was looking for!
Reading the text is a bit of a challenge, but I'd like to keep playing it little by little.
I'll also...
I am interested in otome games that feature English voice acting.
It seems like it would also be a good way for me to practice English.
Could you let me know if there are any otome games like that?
(I would be especially happy if they were available on the AS.)
In otome games, a scenario where the guy ends up with another girl is something I dislike even more than a death end 😅
If it's not an otome game, though, I don't mind.
