Other games that you play besides otome games/BL?

I've always loved Gran Turismo (especially 4!). Been saving up recently to buy a sim rig so I can play Asetto Corsa or LMU.

If there is time, I also play games like story of seasons, fire emblem, zelda and mario, I know SS and FE aren't supposed to be otome game, but I get a little disappointed there is so little romance :ROFLMAO:

This is maybe unrelated since i am asking non otome theme question. But, i am curious is there any other game that everyone here play besides otome games/BL?

Non-otomege title that i am currently playing is Story of Seasons : Trio of Towns, Lair Land Story and Tales of Innocence Vita version (consider myself as replaying it ever since i finished playing on DS version a decade ago).

I play some JRPGS especially Xenoblade series, Fire Emblem, sometimes Rune Factory, and other Visual Novel (mostly mystery) like Gyakuten Saiban, Professor Layton, Famicom Detective Club, etc. I almost exclusively play Switch games and try my best to stay away from the mobage/gacha ones teehee

I love Baldur's Gate 3, Dragon Age: Origins, and Stardew Valley! Recently, I also played a game called Long Live the Queen. I enjoy games outside of otome too, but I tend to gravitate toward games that let me play as a female protagonist and have some romance elements. Even if a game is considered a masterpiece, I find it hard to get interested if I'm only able to play as a male protagonist. 😅

I like rusty lake games. I recently played servant of the lake. I also like strange antiquities and strange horticulture. I used to play the Sims and Stardew valley a lot but I don't have much time anymore. I enjoy unpacking and a little to the left but I get tired of them easily so I don't play them often

I don't remember playing paradise so I can't compare them. But I always like playing their games, they're their own kind of disturbing. In servant of the lake you're the servant (duh!) and you get to complete a list of tasks per day (morning, afternoon, evening, and night). If I had been the servant irl I'd fled the first day, but the creepiness is on brand. I haven't completed all the achievements yet tho. As for strange horticulture, I think I prefer strange antiquities (I liked deciphering the objects and enjoyed the story a bit more)

Ooooooo sounds fun! yeah I've always loved the slightly disturbing vibe of the rusty lake series, I think I started with the cube escape ones and loved the style so went back to dig for more hahahah, I might go check it out next time its on sale or something. Strange antiques was also on my wishlist, maybe because im a biology student i tend to be more interested in the healing/toxicology aspects of plants, but deciphering things sounds fun asw :D!! Time to add more to my to-play list...

Yeah, totally! I also started with the cube escapes and kept going back for more. And it makes sense you're more into strange horticulture bc of your interest in biology. I don't know much about biology so at the beginning I kept messing up lol. I got the strange antiquities/horticulture games in a bundle during summer sale and I think they're def worth it

I was playing Honkai Star Rail, Genshin, Reverse 1999, Tales of Asteria, and other rythm game like Bandori and Proseka, it was quite fun but it takes a lot of my time for grinding and reading the story event. now i can only focus my energy to otome and mystery puzzle game you found on youtube ads, both doesnt need grinding, so its quite enjoyable

i remember i used to play rpg horror too, maybe that was the game i love the most during my teenage years like ib, mad father, pocket mirror, the hanged man, imaginary friends, mermaid swamp, wadanohara, etc

I love playing Tales of games, Fire Emblem games, Harvest Moon, Rune Factory, Trials of, and YS series. I especially love YS and Trials of because of the puzzles and story that Falcom builds with each game's world.

If you consider joseimukes as another category, then touken ranbu is my e v e r y t h i n g and i'm pretty hooked on pazugiri rn, even though the gacha rates are absolutely horrid. twst is also a fave of mine in this

though if we go through other thing, then i really like rhythm games a lot. i used to play ensemble stars a lot when it transitioned to its music phase, but i couldn't stand what they started doing to my oshi unit and quit lmao even though i gave my everything for them since 2016 😔 same thing happened to identity v.

rn my go to is wuthering waves!!!

Before playing otome/BL games, I had already been playing Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail for a long time; for next year, I plan to play Silver Palace. And I also tried a few Japanese visual novel games, such as 18trip and Helios Rising Heroes.

I'm also into anime-style gacha games, like Zenless Zone Zero and Genshin. Haven't touched Genshin in ages though. It just got harder and harder to enjoy. ZZZ, on the other hand, has been great the whole way through.

I've noticed a lot of visual novel fans end up playing these kinds of games too.
