No, I prefer to use the official MC name or even use another name.
Even though I have an OC or persona character, I rarely use them in otome games.
 
both. not throughout the whole game tho there are just a few dialogues where i selfinsert
 
I self insert to a certain extent, It depends on the game. If they give me a named MC and a set appearance I can't customize, I have to play as the mc. But I'm open to more self insert one too.
 
It depends on the game. If I know the MC has a particular set personality/backstory, I won't. Otherwise, I'll do varying degrees, maybe I'll fully self-insert (Especially if conditions are just right, with a LI I really like and dialogue options that suit me perfectly), maybe I'll develop an OC/sona-esque character that kind of meshes the story and myself.

I notice that for shorter games I tend to self-insert more.
 
Depends on the game! If the MC is faceless / customizable, I self-insert. If MC has strong personality and face, I don't. I just support her.

Yeah, 100%. The default name gets wiped immediately, and I end up picking choices like my actual love life is on the line. It's way more fun when you let yourself get personally invested 🥰
