Have you ever been caught while listening to a cd?

I've never been caught listening a Otome CDs(18+), but a feature was recently added to DLsite Sound that mutes the device's speakers, so I think that kind of terrible situation can be prevented. 🤣

Wow!! 😱 Just imagining this gives me goosebumps.. I'm quietly listening with my earbuds in my bedroom at night with the lights off🤭🤭
I try to avoid Bluetooth earphones as much as possible, fearing that the Bluetooth might disconnect or that they could connect to a family member's phone or another device in a terrible way😵💫 Honestly, I often listen with wired earphones at high volume, so I'm worried the sound might leak out, haha, but I can't really do anything about that🤣

I hope they'll notice but pretend they didn't see anything 😂 Even if you don't want anyone to hear the audio, they might hear it anyway, so you have to be extra careful! Bluetooth is way too scary, so I never listen to age-restricted CDs when I'm out in public!

But even if you do get caught, I don't think you need to be any more embarrassed than necessary.

This happened to me. I connected my phone to the car to play music but it started to autoplay an otome cd track I was last listening to. My mom was in the car with me and while I quickly stopped the track she heard a little bit of it and asked, "what was that?" It wasn't an R-18 scene, luckily, but it was one of those yakuza themed cds and it started off with the male lead yelling 😂
That was a close call, holy cow

No, honestly, it hasn't happened to me—even though I'm pretty careless. While my phone and PC account are both password-protected, my younger brother knows my phone's passcode, and my (+18) files are on a shared drive that anyone can open; so, it's pure luck that I haven't been found out. There were just a few close calls. Once, I was washing the dishes while listening to an (+18) audio drama CD, and my brother snatched the earphone away to see what I was listening to; the scene was right in the middle of moaning, so I grabbed it back and told him he couldn't listen because it was embarrassing—and he understood. Another instance—though not an audio drama CD—was when I wanted to listen to the Diabolik Lovers opening theme. Since I didn't have headphones, I played the song at full volume for the whole street to hear (we all know Diabolik Lovers songs feature blood-sucking sound effects).
Yes, my friends: my teenage self feared nothing.
*Whenever I listen to audio drama CDs, I always have this look on my face, but no one imagines what I'm actually listening to.*

The moment that really made my heart drop was when I was listening with earphones and kept wondering why the volume seemed so low, the voice sounded so distant, or the sound quality seemed bad. I kept turning up the volume, only to realize that my earphones had come unplugged and the audio was actually playing through my speakers.
Thankfully, I was at home, and my family was watching TV in another room, so I can only hope they didn't hear anything.
Ever since then, I always make sure my speakers are turned off😭

Nope, I've never been caught listening to an otome CD! I usually listen to them when I'm going to sleep, alone with my headphones on, so there's basically no chance of anyone catching me. But honestly, someone going through my folder and seeing those covers would be one of my worst nightmares. I'd have to change my name and move to another city. 😭💀

Wow, reading this thread brought the memory back… I actually have a story about this! 💦

I had some audio dramas on my phone, and I accidentally pressed play… and of all things, the line that played was "I love you so much." 😭 I stopped it immediately, but people around me got suspicious. 🧐

I was sure I had set my phone's volume to zero, but apparently I'd accidentally turned the volume back up.

I was SO embarrassed, so ever since then, I've been using my WALKMAN to listen to audio dramas instead. It doesn't have a built-in speaker, so even if I accidentally press the wrong button, there's no way anyone else can hear anything! 😆

No, thank god xD I always make sure it's not leaking out of my earphones when somebody is at home. I also never listen with bluetooth, but with wired headphones.

I havent been found out yet but whenever someone asks to use my phone I cant help but watch them like a hawk and my nervous system gets hyperactivated bc id actually die if they found it ☠️

ive put in a few measures to hopefully prevent them from discovering but I need more tips yall cuz im so paranoid 😭 I dont have ANY files or cd photos saved on my local device so if someone goes through my gallery, its clean. All my suspicious stuff is saved on telegram. I have two browsers, the default safari app that people can use if they ask to use my phone to search up stuff, then I use Brave for looking at AS and dlsite. Then I stuff these apps in a far away folder in my apps page and not my home page so its not visible 😭😭 yall have any more ideas??

I wasn't caught, but I was listening and couldn't stop the playback, so I had to take off the headset..
If my mom had left the room a little later, she would have definitely heard moaning😱😱

I mean you're pretty down packed, all your data is locked tighter than Fort Knox! The only recommendation I could give is add a password/ Face ID in your browsers for extra extra security.🫡
