When a new fd has released do you go play fd first or replay the first game again

It usually takes a few years before the release of the first installment of FD. I usually replay the first installment and then play FD again. If I play FD directly, I will forget the plot of the first installment and feel disconnected.

Just play fd is my choice. And if fd was good, I may replay original game as well. I rarely read games the second they are out, so when the time for reading comes, not only fd is published, but sometimes even sequel is already available.

If a fandisc comes out years after the main game, I've probably already forgotten most of the story by then. I'll go look up some game reviews or check the CGs I saved to help refresh my memory. I don't usually replay a whole game.

I would choose to play the new FD, since I already remember most of the plot from the ones I've played before.

I'm usually a latecomer, so I tend to play both original and sequel/fandiscs back-to-back!

If I have left some note/screenshots previously, I'll reread those; if I remember absolutely nothing, I might skim through reviews instead! Though I rarely end up needing to.

I always go back to the original game first. I already forgot the storyline, and I can't really enjoy the sequel if I don't remember the lore.

I wil to play the new fandisc. I want to see their sweet storys after the story.I prefer sweet stories.I want to see the characters I like live happy lives.

I play the fandisc right away.
Of course, it might have taken a long time for the fandisc to come out, but if I play the main game and then the fandisc right after, it takes a long time, so I might get tired by the time I play the fandisc.
If I don't remember well, I look up the summary of the main game and then play the fandisc.

It depends on how long ago I played the previous game. I usually remember the plot of whatever I've played, unless it was really boring. But in that case, I don't really feel the need to play the next one anyway :tongue:

I'm too lazy to replay the original game so I will play FD directly, but many times FD reminds me how interesting the original one was that I went back to replay that after one route in FD :LOL:

immediately play FD bc sometime I still remember the plot from the previous VN so it isn't bother me at all to start their new FD

As long as i see the previous game's CGs and the gap not really take more than 5years, i think i will remember the plot from it so i just go for FD!

I just consistently replay the game from the very beginning. But playing like that, I get tired and quit, only to eventually forget that a fan disc was released... So these days, whenever a fan disc comes out, I just play that first. That works the best way, I find. 😂

Im way too impatient after waiting years for an fd, theres no way I can responsibly contain my excitement and play the original first 😂 especially if I can finally romance some side characters I've been dying for!!

I'm different, haha. I played the FD first, then replayed the first game, and then played the FD again (〃^▽^〃)

If FD is too long from the original (more than 2 years), I will replay this article. After waiting for too long, I almost forgot the plot, and I couldn't remember the relationship between the characters and the ending. I didn't have an impression unless I liked the character the most.

A good work, don't be afraid of waiting for FD for too long. After reviewing this article, I am more motivated to play FD. :LOL:

FD unless ive /totally/ forgotten, but since i 100% otomes it's typically unlikely... i would replay the original if the fd was more of a "story continuation" or "sequel", but a lot of the time its just a fluffy afterstory (which is fine) that doesnt really require you to be totally on top of the lore and story. Don't take this as a bad thing, though - I love my fluffy epilogues.

Play FD I think? But when I play games FDs is usually already there so I don't have an experience where I have to wait for a long time

I will play the fan disk. I have pretty good memory so i tend to remember the story pretty well. I might replay a game if it is REALLY good some years later, when i hopefully forgot some things.
