In BL games, do you prefer top MC, bottom MC or Switch MC ?

A switch MC is best. I like an MC who can change depending on who he interacts with. If I have to choose one side, then I'd pick top. I have found all-bottom MCs to be written in quite...feminine or weaker ways than the LIs and tbh they're not my cup of tea.

I kinda don't remember his voice and moan tbh since i played a long time ago but i remember when we play as the old man azumi and we get to top him in the final h-scene.... MY HEART 🤤🤤🤤 I still remember the CG vividly and me think it's suitable if he whimpers in the scene

Also too bad i've never seen old man yaoi on BLVN after that... Well tbh Anata Nikki have a side story with Old Man Yaoi but we never see any H-scene 😔

I prefer top or switch protagonists because they're rarer and bottoms tend to be the default experience in VNs regardless of genre so it gets a bit boring. Submissive protagonists tends to be more popular too. I like variety.

I don't care about the protagonist's stance at all. I read for the romance; everything else is just background or a character trait to me.

100% Switch! Honestly, there are so few BL visual novels that actually let you do this, but it's literally the perfect option. Not everyone wants to be strictly top or strictly bottom — your mood can change depending on the day. Switch gives you that freedom

I only play games where the protagonist is the dominant one (or the seme), I absolutely love that, and I have no interest in games where the protagonist is the submissive one (or the uke).

I don't really know, most of my favorite games the MC are uke or seke, so I'm used to any game as long as it has good H scenes 🆗

I gravitate towards bottom protagonists normally BUT it honestly depends on what the dynamic is. Sometimes, to me, it makes more sense one way, sometimes it makes more sense the other way around; there's top protagonists where I go yeah it HAS to be like that. Getting the option to switch is the way to go normally because that way you're not locked into a box and struggling through the ero scenes; which is actually pretty common in my experience? I'll wish X was topping, Y was bottoming, it can break my immersion.

I myself like Top MC because it was my first exposure to BLVN, and i just like dominating the LI and hear their voices 🤤 I play Switch MC as well but for route where they are topping

There are switch MCs in blvns?! :o (rec me a fave aaaaaaa) I usually prefer top MCs, but on the back of my mind i keep thinking, "what if they switch? 👀"

There are !!! my personal fav is kamisama kari series and square na kankie ! There's also Hotaru series, recommends the second instalments !

I talk abit about square na kankei here and in one of the reply here, kamisama kari is also a fun game because beside you choosing being a top or bottom, you can also choose your form ! The series have two games, the one sets in highschool and in nightlife location.
In the highschool setting, you can choose to become a school boy or your original (young adult) form and become a teacher.

The stories for both game are also quite good ! I'm a sucker for Slice of Life theme so yeah

Hotaru 2 i reccomend because the overarching plot is actually great ! but for the individual route it can become a hit or miss for some people but my personal fav is Orio's route because his route is much more focused on the plot and explore more of the overarching plot (He's also a tsundere, i love me a tsundere)

Oh wow, interesting mechanic, the art style is good too. I got my eyes on the first two games, I'll definitely try them if i can find it. This awesome, a whole new genre of yaoi for me, thank you! :D ill take note of tsundere's route, i also love tsunderes omg
