What's was your first otome game and how did you find it ?

Mystic Messenger was my first, I think. I was on the fandom side of Tumblr a lot when it came out, and some fancomics ended up in my feed. I thought the characters looked interesting and I decided to give it a try, and here I am now lol. I still go back and replay my favorite routes out of nostalgia! It was such a fun experience and I hope we eventually see more otome games like it.

The first otome game I played was "遙かなる時空の中で Harukanaru Toki No Naka De".
It was the first otome game in my life.
Not only was it fun, but I was also impressed! It was very refreshing to proceed with the story from a woman's point of view.

For me, it's a work that made me fall in love with otome games!(*'▽')

My first was a Shall We date game so I found it through app store browsing. (• ▽ •;)

My first otome was Hakuoki. A good friend of mine insisted I play a few of her favorite games of various genres, and Hakuoki was one of them.

She's also the reason I picked up a few key series like Nier and Persona whose marketing/PR/hype had never given me any particular pull to try them.

"AMNESIA" was the first otome game I ever played. Since I started it without knowing anything about it, I was quite surprised by the somewhat dark storyline. I think that's probably when I started liking yandere characters. I really loved Ukyo and Toma.

i watch anime and web novel then met with this free otome game by chance RE: Alistair++ .because of its good story i got hooked then search for more otome games with similar plot one girl with many boys to charm

I first played the otome game Collar × Malice during my freshman year of college, but I can't remember where I first heard about it. I most likely came across it by accident somewhere on the internet.

it was be my princess and my forged marriage LOL i couldn't even afford it at the time because i was in middle school so i just watched playthroughs on youtube... oh the times have changed

'RE: Alistair' was my first otome game more than 15 years ago. I don't remember much of it, but its romance types had an impact on my perception, as well as shoujo manga, BL, and GL. I just downloaded it from the game database using the tag to sort VN

My first otome game was Hakuoki that I played on a psp emulator on my phone. At that time that was one of the few localized games, so I'm glad that now there are more entry points in this hobby!

Mine was "Forbidden Love", it was on Android. I was scrolling on the Play Store and got curious about this one, so I started playing it and got hooked. After hat, I started looking for more games like this one, and here I am, 12 years later and still obsessed with otome hehehe

My first otome was Yo-Jin-Bo. It started because I was trying to find choose-your-own adventure books, because after being addicted to Fable 2, I yearned for media where I could make choices that impacted the story. Online I eventually found out about visual novels due to Katawa Shoujo, and fell in love with VNs where I could make choices with romance. At that point the only ones I knew about were bishojo VNs, because at this point the otome community was non-existent in the West. I wished that there were ones with feMCs and male LIs, but took what I could get. Then from more searching I found out about Yo-Jin-Bo, and downloaded it from eroge, which took forever, but I loved it. From there I ended up finding out about indie otomes and played all the one's I could get my hands on!

my first otome was Amnesia, i actually started with BL games and i loved dmmd and someone on social media in that fandom had recommended Amnesia so i tried it out and liked it so i started playing otomes too after that

Wow this question brought me flashbacks from like 2015. I think my first ever otome game was a game on the mobile phone. It's a game by CYBIRD called midnight cinderella, but I believe it has already been removed from the playstore. Yall that game opened a whole new world for me 😂.

I started with dating flash games and other browser games like My Candy Love, but I got really into otome itself after finding out about PSP and DS titles based in shoujo manga. Before getting invested in otome I already played other types of visual novels though!

I don't really remember because it was a long time ago lol. I think it was probably London Detective Story, Yo-Jin-Bo, or Dot Kareshi. I played the first one on my iPod and the other two on PC.

I think my first ever otome that was made by a company was Amesia, I was on a forum for otomes way back in the day and I found someone with an animated Shin signature from the anime. It was LOVE at first site, and that's how I got into it. I even remember the scene, it was this!

My first otome game was AMNESIA.
I found it because I watched the Hakuoki anime first and looked up the company behind it, Otomate. That's how I stumbled upon AMNESIA.

StarrySky and diabolik lovers…StarrySky was really old so I don't really remember but i started diabolik lovers after watching the anime since i heard that the anime was originally a game and that the game was better then the anime giving more information and lore !

Probably one of those Shall We Date or Voltage mobile otome games. The only device I had that time was my mom's phone and I remember how I always want to borrow her phone every day because my story ticket finally restored then I'd get irritated for how short the chapter was. Good old times really.
