When you play otome games, do you leave Love Catch on or off?

If I turn it off, I will 100% end up speeding straight into a bad ending, so I always keep it on lol. So yeah, for my own sanity, it stays on at all times. I've learned my lesson.

Actually, I feel like I like to leave it off. As soon as there's a hint, I immediately know I made the wrong choice, which feels frustrating and makes me want to reload. Then the ending might not be the one I naturally got in my first playthrough.

I turn it on because it's satisfying to see the love catch animation appear when i make the right choice. It's probably because i rack my brain trying to figure out which choices LIs likely want to hear (yup, people pleaser tendency). So getting it right feels rewarding (*´∀`*). But if i get it wrong, i can just replay or reload the scene to pick the right choice anyway

I've it off whenever I want to play it blind fot the first time, or if the effect stays too long.
Otherwise it's always on so I could know I've made the wrong choice again. D; (endless quick save and load)

If I want to keep the experience completely fresh, I usually don't use this feature.
Still, it feels pretty bad when I turn it on and notice that some really unique choices end up lowering affinity…I keep wishing there were more sharp or spicy options that would actually raise affinity instead.

I usually choose to keep it on because I have a bit of OCD and like the first line to go perfectly all the way to the end.

I turned on the affection gain animation. Even though I usually follow a guide when playing games, I personally think the affection gain animation looks really nice, when you've made a choice that increases a love interest's affection. It often manifests as little hearts, music notes, or a specific sound effect. That's really cute lol.:akazukin_tehee:

i always prefer it when they have the option to show the love catch because i don't like using guides unless i'm really stuck but also i always seem to run into a problem where i get one choice wrong, then have to skip allllll over the place to figure out where i went wrong 😭 😭

I usually use walkthroughs, so it's mostly obsolete, but I like keeping it on regardless. Pretty colors and popups make my brain happy, you know what I mean?

I leave it on becasue I like to discuss with the designers' value system and wordings, since sometimes the choices are too nuanced to understand before seeing the full texts. This is not really for a ending hint.

Since I'm playing with a Walkthrough, I don't really need it, but I usually just leave it on anyway

I keep it on! Some of them are visually nice, but honestly I just don't turn it off because I don't really care that much about it.

I keep them on because I don't mess with the settings much, but I might try it out next playthrough :D

I also leave it on while playing. That way, I can see how the opponent falls for the protagonist.

Leave it on so I can play the game without a guide. Checking a guide often breaks immersion for me.
I was about to say this. If given the option I like to rely on on-screen animations like the blooming or colour because otherwise I'm always using a guide.
