Do you read manga adaptations of otome games?

I occasionally try to read comics based on games, but most of them don't really interest me.
 
Yes! It's always interesting to see how the mangaka does their own take on the story, and what type of ending they'll do and which male lead they'll pick!
 
The ones that really stuck with me were the manga adaptations of Harukanaru Toki no Naka de and
Kiniro no Corda. (their first entries in the series)
At the time, I didn't know they were originally otome games.
I got totally hooked on the characters and the story,
and since they ran for so many volumes, the buildup and development felt very complete.
They're basically classic examples of great adaptations.
 
It really depends as usually not due to them not normally going for my favourite character to romance 😂
 
If and only if the storyline isn't boring and predictable, then I feel like the adaptation would go a long way, so I would read.
 
I read it!! Even though the only manga I've really read are Kiniro no Corda and the Harukanaru series...
 
Yup all the time! Only when I finish the game though. Sometimes the art in the manga is really pretty to me so I end up checking it out.
 
I remember reading the Heart no Kuni no Alice manga a few years ago, but I didn't even know it was based on otoge. I've also read a few Diabolik Lovers mangas. But it is not something I actively search or read often since in my opinion most of them are kinda lackluster compared to the game.
 
i do!! and i wish more otome games could earn their own mangas as well, some would come out to be really beautiful ❤️
 
now that you mentioned it, i realized that i haven't even thought about it at all
i think it's because otome games already give me the things i want from the story... :unsure:
 
I've occasionally seen manga or drama CDs get adapted into otome games on DLsite, but I didn't realize otome games sometimes get turned into manga too. I do look up fan comics from time to time.
 
I might read the comics first and then learn about the game, so that I can understand its world setting before playing the game and enjoy a different perspective and experience.

I've read a manga adaptation of *Heartland's Alice* before. However, the story was so condensed that I think it would be better to play the original game.
 
I haven't read that many.

It's great that manga makes it easy to reread. However, I get nostalgic for the voices and expressions I heard in the game, and I want to open the game and rewatch those scenes, which takes up a lot of my time.
 
I tend to stay away from the anime/manga adaptions, not because I wouldn't be interested in some more content, but because it makes me sad when my favourite LI isn't the canon in those media, or there's heavy bias towards one LI even if they don't necessarily get together at the end. My favourite LI is almost never the poster boy, which I think really hurts the chance that they'll get focus.
 
Personally, I first read the manga or any adaptations they have and then I proceed to play them; the same applies if there's an anime.

It's nice to see the protagonist's expressions and personality in a different medium.
 
Yes, absolutely! I like to look for additional materials after completing the course, such as manga or short stories based on this work, it is very sad if I cannot find it due to the fact that otome is not very popular in the community.

I've never read a manga adaptation of a game; I've seen some anime, but they weren't entirely to my liking so I decided to stick with the games.
