I would like more choices that actually impact the direction of the story. It's nice to have that sense of control over the story. The problem with a lot of the games is that they have "fake" choices that don't make a difference.

Really cannot stand it! What's the point of otome or BL games if the LIs fall in love with each other? The protagonist should be getting all the attention and love. If the developer wanted the LIs to fall in love, then just make one of the LI into a protagonist instead.

Danganronpa is a good one. It's the first visual novel I've ever played on my laptop. Paranormasight is my favourite.

It depends. If the heroine has a personality that is well-written and completely different from my own, it would be hard to self-insert. If the heroine doesn't really have a distinct personality, sometimes I can.

I only play on PC because it can be used to play games on any platform using emulators.

I prefer to play with guides. I hate it when I play a game for 10+ hours and then get the ending I didn't want. I'd have to start over or at least replay the same scenes again.

I have a 2TB portable drive that I keep my games in. Just in case they get deleted or become inaccessible. I also record all the games I have on Notion, so I know what I have archived.

Simulation otome games can feel like a chore sometimes. When I was playing Tokimeki Memorial Girl's Side, I was looking up guides, saving and loading repeatedly, trying to get the best ending. It requires a lot of work, so I only play it when I have a lot of free time.
