The only game I've ever 100% completed is the first otome I ever played, Sweet Fuse. I never finished any of the others. I honestly don't have the attention span for them anymore :whistle:

I really like them with long white hair or long black hair. White hair is probably my favorite though, ngl! I also like my characters to be a bit toned :3. Clothing-wise, I don't really care that much.

so far i haven't really played any otome games with female routes, but i'm kinda worried they'll end up feeling lackluster compared to the male routes 😭 i'd honestly rather play a full yuri/gxg game than a female route that feels like an afterthought or isn't written as well.

it depends on the game tbh. if the MC's personality is totally different from mine, it's really hard for me to self-insert at that point it just feels like i'm reading a light novel (which i don't mind i love light novels). but if she has a similar personality to me, or basically no personality...

I prefer games with more reading, and where only the choices that really matter show up. I usually follow a guide, though lately I've been trying to play one without a guide (we'll see how that goes lol)🥴 Honestly, when there's a lot of reading, it feels like I'm reading a light novel or manga...

It depends on whether it's voiced. Some otome games will actually say the protagonist's canon name if you don't change it, so I usually keep the canon name when it's voiced. But if it isn't voiced, I usually give the character a different name.

I think I started playing otome games when I was like 13 or 14. I remember getting so annoyed at a shoujo manga because the heroine didn't pick the guy I wanted. I was like, "Why can't I choose?" 😂 That's basically how I ended up discovering otome games and visual novels.

Nowadays I'm more into otome and yuri/GL. I used to play a lot of BL games, but most of them were really sexual. One game honestly caught me off guard because it had unwanted sexual advances, and since then I haven't really touched BL games anymore.:o_O:

My very first English translated otome was Sweet Fuse: At Your Side 💣. I did every route, which I rarely do these days, lol. tbh i cant remember my very first one since it was so long ago but i used to use machine translation. Omg it used to be so bad but i still enjoyed the older games.
