Hmm... while I obviously play them, I could never recommend otome or bl gacha games due to the predatory marketing and microtransactions. There have been Otome Games and BL games I don't like but I don't think there's any I wouldn't recommend as it's all up to individual preference.

It depends. Different types of gameplay in visual novels can be fun if done well, but annoying and tedious otherwise. I like rhythm mini games in otome games, matching minigames, rock paper scissors, cooking, decorating, dressup, etc. I have yet to play an otome game with good combat though.

I passed it now!! I'm okay! Now I'm stuck early in chapter 6 lol. I had to level my 6 star to level 60 and level my 5 stars up. There's no rush though. Apparently it literally takes two entire weeks to even finish chapter 1-8 in total.
