Yes, if I like an otome or a BL, I would watch it again for the beautiful scenes and to calmly appreciate the details that I didn't notice or didn't pay attention to the first time I played it.
It depends on the character and how well-written their story is, but I prefer green flags, except for the occasional red flag, as yanderes are my weakness.
In my case, I think it would be 18+ games, both otome and BL. I would be extremely embarrassed to be with another person and have them hear moans; for me, it's a definite no.
I prefer when the MC has personality because it makes the options for how they can behave on a given route feel more real. When they don't have a personality, they feel flat, like a blank slate.
I haven't played any games from the Abo world, but I feel like it's a very unexplored niche in otome games, which is why I'm excited about the new game Wakudeki.
I think it only works for me for people who lived before the 20th century. I consider historical works set in the 20th century either as inspiration or based on fictional characters. However, if the character is based on a (currently) living person, I probably won't play it.
It doesn't bother me; I play those kinds of games without spending my money since otome gacha games require investment, and sometimes I lose interest in one game for another.
