I think so, a little. I've always liked tsundere and caring sweet characters, but now I've noticed I'm starting to like yanderes, whereas before I really didn't like them at all.
R 18 games, I wouldn't be embarrassed if people saw me playing an otome game; in fact, I'm sure I could convince some of my friends to try them too. But R 18... I'd definitely get some strange looks.
It doesn't bother me as long as the person they're based on hasn't recently passed away; that makes me feel really strange. In fact, I laugh at myself a lot because whenever I hear the names of the main characters from the Sengoku era, they immediately appear in my mind with the designs from...

For me, it's very important; one of the things that attracts me most to a game is the character art style. There have been times when the game's synopsis sounds great, but the art style doesn't quite convince me, and I end up not playing it.
It doesn't bother me if it's in a short story or just a game demo, but in a longer game it does bother me because then I don't understand why they give us options.
