What scene/moment in a drama CD that basically broke your immersion?

Have you ever had a moment or a scene where you're immersed in the drama CD just for the immersion to break by a certain scene or a moment?

For me it was when the ML started growling like a wolf mid snusnu. Just ended up laughing too hard.

Another one was when a father and daughter where banging while the father's gf was waiting in the living room. I just kept thinking about imagining being invited over to meet your bf's daughter just for you to sit in the living room all alone waiting.

I want a hear everyone's "wtf is this" or "I can't stop thinking about this other thing happening" moments

I'm can handle with sfx which not that realistic, but if they sound TOO real I just can't stay immersed It's a bit too much for me

When the ML cant stop yapping about how short and petite the heroine is... no sir I am not a dainty 4ft pilates princess 🫩 even worse when he keeps on harping on about their size difference, istg sometimes I feel like an ugly troll as a taller woman

i recently listened to this lovely audio, and while it was hot and stuff, the cumming sounds were.. i dont even know how to properly describe it.

first of all, the dude was cumming for almost a minute straight. which is whatever. second, the sfx were like something out of a cooking game. like when you squeeze out ice cream or something. it was so bad. so bad. and he did it at least twice.

also, if the slapping sounds are too dull/monotone or not juicy enough, it ruins the immersion too. or if theyre too fast or too slow. coincidentally, this is what happens in this cd. i still enjoyed it, but at the same time, i have a small complaint.
also, you kinda start noticing over time that various circles use same slapping sfx, which is understandable of course, but also a bit.. well i guess its inevitable, so i shouldnt think too much about it..

OH AND ALSO, if its a 3p/4p/xp audio, sometimes when one character speaks, other(s) just vanish for a few seconds. and its so unimmersive!! especially if theyre supposed to be arguing with each other. i want them to like, talk over each other, interrupt each other, stuff like that. not just staying still and waiting till the other one finishes speaking!! would be wonderful if arguments worked that way in real life, but alas..^^;;;

The voice actor's performance for the kissing and licking scenes in the plot was poorly executed, sounding like saliva about to drip out and being sucked back in, which instantly broke my immersion and ruined the sense of engagement with the story.

I usually listen to binaural drama CDs and I'm really interested in SEs. While VAs and genres are great, low-quality or wrongly positioned SEs break my immersion.

I know most people concentrate more on VAs, I just hope more attention will be paid to SEs for a better experience...

Honestly sometimes I just need to pause and rewind or fast forward because I get confused... One moment the seiyuu's voice will be on my ear, then further away, then there's a change in position or smth and I just. Don't understand what are we supposed to be doing anymore lmao

Exactly lol. Sometimes when the voice actor's kissing or lip sounds are like slurping noodles,
it completely kills my immersion in the work
And again in the Koonni scene, lol, "Itadakimasu" I don't know if it fits Japanese culture, but from my perspective, whenever that line comes up, it's so funny I freeze up and go crazy! !

As a 178cm 85kg woman I feel on that one I felt like a giant when I was in Japan because of my height.

Like sir, can you finish one sentence normally?? Why does every word need a sound effect?

At some point, I stopped paying attention to what he was saying and started anticipating the next moan like it was a punctuation mark lmaoo. I swear he was using moans instead of periods

I think it's the excessive sounds of earlicking....Because it doesn't sounds like earlicking anymore, it's like the ML is sucking and eating a shellfish instead-help (since when ears can be that slurpy) Also, there's this CD where the ML is in the middle of boom boom pow and he suddenly start saying words in English (supposedly dirty talking) but it sounds so funny instead

Idk, sometimes the acting is going overboard, especially when they play crazy guys, so sometimes I'm just cackling lol. Also, pus... ramen eating sounds, especially if they go on for too long

Those unnaturally long awkward pauses where the character is waiting for 'my' response, followed by them replying to a line I didn't even think of. It instantly pulls me out of the story

When the SE makes a sound like liquid slime I can't tell if I'm listening to a drama CD or slime ASMR.
And also when a character suddenly says something completely out of the blue. While there are descriptions as mentioned earlier that point to a small physique, aside from that there were also moments where I couldn't help but let out a laugh at some of the contrived dialogue.

Weirdly—the sound of clothes rustling meant to signal the girl replying… LOL. It happens so often and so ingrained in my head that at this point I just imagine a floating t-shirt the characters are interacting with.

I'm not a fan of sound effects in R18 scenes when they don't match what's happening.

For example, the way the lines are delivered makes it sound like they're not moving that intensely, but then you hear incredibly vigorous thrusting sounds. Or when the breathing and thrusting sounds are out of sync, it feels like listening to dissonant music, and it makes me feel so uncomfortable.

Give the protagonist an ovulation-inducing drug, and if you ejaculate with them now after 10 to 20 minutes, they'll definitely be pregnant!! There was a scene like that. I thought, ...I wish they had done some preliminary research when writing that scenario....Did you think that taking an ovulation-inducing drug would immediately produce more eggs???
