For 2026: What was your favourite Otome or BL VN? and Who was your favourite LI?

it's october and there's still two months left until the year wraps up but i wanted to ask everyone what were their favourite title(s) they played this year and whether there was any standout love interest who entered the favourites list ! if it's difficult to pick just one only i would be happy to know your top three picks too ^^

i wasnt able to play as much as i wouldve liked to this year but i still managed to get a decent number of titles crossed off and i think my number one from that list was kimi ni madoi aka wakudeki ! it was the perfect everyday life otome i wanted and the writing for it was quite drama / angsty and realistic which is why i enjoyed it so much ! the atmosphere and setting was also really well done with that summer love - small town romance feel ^^ i also played luckydog1 this year and that ended up being an instant fave too lmaoooo giancarlo is too good !!!!! i will defo be trying to find time to play bad egg by the end of this year or the start of next one ^^

i also found a new instant fave love interest for this year who is eugene from sins of kaleido ^^ he's one of those characters that felt like he was made in a lab specific to my tastes and quirks lolol genuinely entered my top 5 faves ever list so so so easily <3 i had a lot of other faves that i enjoyed greatly this year but he was miles above everyone :3

My number one is my favorite BL, *Slow Damage*—I love Fujieda and the protagonist, Towa.
My number two is the otome game *My Candy Love*, featuring Castiel and Nathaniel, and my third choice is **Apple Polisher*: Kuro*from the Dynamic Chord series.

My favorite otome games that I played for this year are probably:

• Kimi ni Madoi, Kimi ni Oboreru. Favorite LI : Ritsu & Kyouya
• Illusion of Itehari. Favorite LI : Yori & Awayuki
• Piofiore. Favorite LI: Nicola & Henri

I'm still playing Handsome Laundering (this game is so damn long! lol), but I might try playing others first, like Collar x Malice or 9 R.I.P.

I feel like I haven't played as many otome games this year compared to last year. This year, I've played Taisho x Alice, Hakuoki SSL, Café Enchanté, Otome Daoshi, Diabolik Lovers, OverRequiemZ, Neon Clash, Mistonia's Hope, and LADS. Among these, my favorite otome games of the year so far are OverRequiemZ and Taisho x Alice but if I have to pick just one for the top spot, I'd go with OverRequiemZ. My favorite LI was Claude. I still plan to play Sins of Kaleido and finish Homura before the year ends—we'll see if my top game and LI remain the same!
