i think what makes a story good is different for everyone because we all have different tastes.

there are a lot of anime, manga, manhwa, and manhua that i think are good but rarely see people talk about. i wonder if anyone else has recommendations that they think deserve more attention and that more people should know about.

some titles that come to mind are sayonara no asa ni yakusoku no hana wo kazarou, ookami kodomo no ame to yuki, the pale horse, and aisha.

Omg Aisha mentioned! :XD: I love both manhuas so so much! The first version and the now on hold second one! I even have the artbook and the first volume of Aisha!

Personally I don't have much that comes to mind, I mainly read when I know there's a yandere ML lol, so a lot of my recs come from the maleyandere subreddit lol.
Since male yanderes are not really liked by a majority out of the otome community, it's either not famous at all or hated on. An easy read I think would be 癒やしのお隣さんには秘密がある, It's not really long, less than 100 chapters if I remember correctly. It even got a drama adaption, that's how I learnt about it!
But if you're into yandere definitely check it out or just the subreddit lol!

As for non romance one, I would definitely say yuuko's gloomy days it's available on webtoon entirely for free as well, but same as Aisha we didn't get any update in so long. Really small chapters and not a lot of talking, it's, as the title indcates, gloomy. So if you don't like dark stories or you are in a bad place at the moment, you shouldn't read it.

Saihate no Paladin, ReLIFE, and Ase to Sekken.

For manhwa probably... A Breath in the End of Verdure. It's R18 tho, but damn 30+ elves as husbands, I want that too lol

Lady Crystal is a Man is such an underrated manhwa. I usually avoid cross-dressing tropes and thrive on toxic black-flag angst, but this was a total exception for me. Ellian(FL) is top-tier ML material lol. What makes it so special is the balance: in most manhwas, when one lead has a strong personality, the other feels flat and artificial. Here, they genuinely feel like two distinct, fully realized individuals. Plus, they don't get hit with random personality shifts once they get together—they stay true to who they are and treat each other with deep mutual respect until the very end. Highly recommend!

I feel like Gnosia is a title that hasn't really gotten the recognition it deserves. It's a time-loop game where, much like in Danganronpa, it can have to identify the culprit (the Gnosia) I really loved how the story evolves with each repeated loop and the plot twists built into the setting. It's sad that doesn't get talked about much; perhaps because the art style and sound design are somewhat polarizing.

I haven't played the Gnosia game yet, but I really loved the anime! The opening song was so catchy that I kept listening to it over and over again. I also loved how the story took so many interesting twists and turns. Recently, I watched a recording of the stage play, and I was amazed by how well the actors captured their characters! It really made me feel like they're treating the original game with so much care while expanding the series into different forms of media, like anime and stage plays.

A Fortune-Telling Princess. It's not that rarely, but I feel like not many people talk enough about this manhwa (or maybe it's just me lol). It's still ongoing, and I really like the FL. I love Camilla~

WORLD TRIGGER

The art style is divisive, but the content is very interesting. Since it's a fighting game with many characters, I think you'll find one you like. The anime is long because it includes an original story, but guess what😳 A remake is being made now. (The release date hasn't been decided yet, though...😢) I'd like you to take this opportunity to watch it.

I would say cheating men must die i know it's pretty popular on manga sites hardly can find any fans of that series manhwa is pretty generic plot is basically female lead in like futuristic systems where she goes to different timeline and find out cheating men some arcs are pretty some are men to me but female lead ofc very loveable also side characters I loved even evil women ones too

In my opinion, Natsume Yuujinchou is an anime that doesn't get discussed very often—though I'm fairly certain it actually has quite a large fanbase; it's just that most of its fans tend to keep a low profile
😅
. That's actually one of the reasons why I quite like this series' community
😊
.

Another one—an older anime/manga that I personally find really good—is 7 Ghosts. I don't think many people have watched or read it.

07-ghost is definitely underrated 😭 I was obsessed over that anime and manga but no one knew what I was talking about
