What will you choose: 2D or 3D graphics in otome?

So far, I still prefer 2D.

There is something so loveable about how expressive 2D is. It's even better when developers add movement to the sprites. Seeing their mouths move while talking or Live2D physics like in Illusion of Itehari just brings the characters to life. Well, I'm a little bit disappointed that the CG isn't moving tho lol

2D has more art directions like angles, compositions, so far comapring to 3D, as well as more varieties of styles and color palettes so, 2D. I wish there will be more none shojo styles joining though.

Right now, there aren't any 3D otome games that I particularly like, so I prefer 2D otome games.

On the other hand, I've played a lot of interesting 3D galgames, but those games sell themselves on their freedom of choice. If that freedom weren't a selling point, I'd still prefer 2D games…

For example, I've played both Artificial Academy 1 and 2. ILLUSION is known for its 3D galgames, and I've actually played many of this developer's 3D galgames.

I will always die on 2D graphics. No hate towards 3D, but 2D hits different.

Definitely 2D, but I guess it depends, if the 3D is done well, I might like it, but I generally prefer 2D.

the style doesn't really affect my gameplay! another 3d otome recommendation is the one im currently playing is "Toraware no Paruma" which uses 3d models of the 2 main love interests
