Who are some of your favorites... Part 1: Composers

[treechild24]

I'd like to hear from you on what inspires and delights you the most in your favorite media(s).
In this part, let's focus on the music.
Which composers and music artists have you come to know and enjoy? Who's songs help set the perfect mood or get you excited for what's to come?
Examples (some things I enjoy): Yoko Kanno's soundtracks in anime, Nobuo Uematsu's compositions in video games, and I've (Sound's) theme songs in VN's/Eroge.
Let me know which music artists you have come to know and love.

Keiichi Okabe, Kevin Penkin, and Christopher Larkin are probably my 3 current favourite composers.
I am also a huge fan of ambient like tracks, for example 1000 Eyes work on Signalis, Akira Yamaoka's work on Silent Hill, and the various composers that create the music for Yume 2kki

I enjoy listening to Vocaloid songs

I listened to /collected some Vocaloid music during the early years. I remember liking and being in awe with some of it. I haven't thought about Vocaloid artists for a long time though.

I like listening to movie scores. I love Ennio Morricone, specially in Cinema Paradiso, The Mission, and the spaghetti westerns by Sergio Leone. I also really like Hand Zimmer (pirates of the Caribbean at the end of the world) and the Oppenheimer score by Ludwing Goransson. I like ballet music composers like Tchaikovsky too. And also musicals like the phantom of the opera but idk if that counts

i've never really paid attention to the names of composers behind the music i listen to, but there's one name i recognize because i often see it credited in the anime osts i've listened to, and that's hiroyuki sawano.
