Anyone want to discuss durarara?

I got back into durarara recently ^_^, was introduced 10 years ago but I was too young to really participate in anything meaningful ;-; and now I'm just getting back into it! I'm sad to see so much of the hype has (understandably) died down now so I've been trawling pixiv for sziz djs and logs lol. Anyone else?

I'd still cite drrr as a favorite even though it's been such a long time I've seriously thought about it!! Maybe actually reading the novels sometime could be a nice re-entry point...

Shizaizu (and occasionally the reverse too lol) was to me like baby's level 2 fanon yaoi like right after a semi-peer pressured hetalia phase and before I got into danganronpa hinakoma hell (even that is distant now....) Nowadays I really haven't been indulging in fanworks other than the occasional dj I come across by chance while looking at past works by commercial BL mangaka I happen to be reading. But I also only found out relatively recently that Narita wrote crack Shizaizu for April Fools and even though the upshot is Erika being insane, it's cool when authors acknowledge fanon in a (mostly) lighthearted manner lol. People also used to go crazy over the alternate versions of the charas on the OST covers I wonder if that's still big...

Omg I read the april fools work too!! Honestly, reading works translated into english gives it a more mystic/philosophical vibe from trying to decipher the metaphors. I wonder if this counts as fanon endorsement? jks lol

Erika is so awesome omg I love her so much!! I tried to do her hairstyle and ended up just ripping a few hairs out TT-TT But definitely need to find the time to cos her!!!! Definitely!!!!

The character songs are really nice too. I spent a good week trying to find the drrr x 2 kenka cd tracks online, and thank god I found most of them because the only other option I found was a person selling the cd for 350 bucks 0-0 Oh! Also the drama CDs too, even though I can't understand a lick of japanese, (maybe I'm just a hoarder)

Off topic but I think the danganronpa fandom is getting a revive now right?? I think I saw something about a new game with a protagonist ppl were theorising about lolol. I've certainly been seeing a lot of saiouma lately and danganronpa cos at the anime con today.

I haven't fully finished the anime yet, still have 8-9 episodes left, but I'm super ultra excited to see the fight scene and izaya get hurt ^-^. I'm thinking after I finish that, I'll switch to the manga or light novel.

Oh!!! Also!!!! Japanese people on twitter are flexing their drrr pop up 'walking' acrylic merch, and someone was showing off their 'wedding' acrylic stands too! I'm so jealous >-> I'll probably have to look into proxy buying..... my poor wallet.....

Also some of these resellers are insane man. I'm currently broke but I've seen some unholy amounts for stuff that's been out of stock for decades that I was looking for...If nobody got me bilibili uploaders got me. The shipping cost for proxy shopping still intimidates me but I'll cross that bridge when I get to it ig

Oh also yeah there's 2x2 coming next year is which is like a remake of the second game but with an extra alternate scenario (still can't get over how they called it Slayhem.) And recently there was a leak of the visual for the game with a new character nobody's ever heard of and the reactions have been so mixed lol

I hope you enjoyed / will enjoy the fight!!!!! Bleeding, the finest accessory a man can wear etc. I've only read some volumes of the manga forever ago but I do remember some minor stuff differing from the anime, and I've seen similar things said about the novel as well so I think they're worth hopping onto.

Also while looking up the wedding merch you were talking about I found out for the first time that they had matching rings made engraved with Izaya and Shizuo's names?? Huh!!! Okay!!
