I only played one game with this type of story writing, and I didn't like it at all. I am happy that characters could be happy with someone else, but I just want to enjoy romance between MC and LIs

Hi, fujo here. And gotta say I'm completely agree with yall! Like please, even a pure explicit s*x game have the option to turn off NTR content (seeds of chaos my luv) but these supposed "Otome" still bother with these clumsyyy BL bait is beyond me. Like bro, I support ur shenanigans but getting btw me and my LIs? Amigo I'm throwing hands ToT

Personally, I think it's fine for Lls to find another partner if the mc doesn't choose them. I get why some people wouldn't like it since it feels like the mc is their "fate" since it would be weird for Lls to suddenly see another character as more attractive just because mc chose a Ll. Maybe, it could be in a future side story so that the Lls could have their own happy ending or their chemistry is just that good.

If it's an otome game, I don't think I'd like it very much. Since the LIs are characters specifically designed to be romantic options for the protagonist, I don't really want to see them end up with someone else. That said, I doubt there are many otome games that would go out of their way to show something like that after the ending.

Games that are more like dating reality shows feel like a different genre to me, though. And if it's a game like Story of Seasons, I can probably just ignore it.

Hell nah, I hate this shit.

It makes me feel like MC is a placeholder who doesn't matter like, at all, and that by romancing these LIs who have a romantic interests in someone other than MC I am breaking them away from their "one true love" ugh.

Like, it makes me wonder why MC even exists, because clearly, the devs just want to ship their OCs together.

This is one of the most horrible things a developer can do lol
I wanted to play Andromeda Six, but now it's permanently removed from my wishlist. I'm not going to support NTR content. I have enough of this in Bioware games. 😣

OMG same thing, I left Andromeda Six to marinate, but now that I know about these recent (???) developments, I am not gonna pick it back up like ever

Personally, I'm not really bothered by it, but I do find the decision of some games to include it baffling. As this thread shows, there are probably far more people who don't want to see this and will avoid the game as a result than people who are cool with it.

Hate it, im so selfish in videogames and i want to be the focus and the only one who can choose and romance someone 😁

I dislike it a lot.. but i try my best to not think about it throughout gameplays ;-; it honestly just feels a bit weird seeing any LIs like that, like "am I interrupting something??" But it all comes back to how the characters in question deals with it, if it matches the plot or lore, I wouldn't mind as much.

As long as I establish a relationship with one of the characters, will the other characters that I can romance get paired off automatically? It feels kind of weird. If that's how it works, I wouldn't choose to play it—unless I'm actually interested in one of the characters in this otome game.
