What is your go-to platform for Otome CDs, and why?

I just realised I only replied q2 previously 🤡

For those who use Pokedora, StellaPlayer, FANZA etc —how is the overall user experience and campaign/sales on those sites?

Pokedora and Stellaplayer (mostly Pokedora).

Some people I know mentioned not being able to use Pokedora because they can't receive the Animate account SMS but it was OK for me thankfully.

There used to be PayPal or was it VISA/Master Card payment option previously but that's gone now even if you're only trying to buy all ages works.
(If you previously used visa/master card for payment you might still be able to use the "use last payment method" option to pay from what one person told me but I have not verified this personally.)

I feel it's not easy to browse and discover new contents of some types unless you know what you're looking for (almost everything and anything not BL not Adult gets dumped into 一般) BUT Pokedora also has a good collection of contents related to female-oriented novel/manga so I'll probably be using it for a long time as long as more works come.

You cannot mass remove items from your wishlist afaik and the page refreshes every time you remove something from your wishlist, so imagine if you have 10 items to delete all at the last page or something, that's...extra clicks. Also, if you add something to cart from wishlist, you immediately go to the cart page which is annoying if you want to add more items. (If you add to cart from the item page you get the option to continue browsing though...)

I guess the biggest demerit is needing the app to listen to the audio (although you can also bypass that with the emulator ripping method, but yeah, it will take time, especially if you're downloading some CD with 80 tracks in gibberish file name format).

Campaign wise usually there's a "最大3点に使える10%OFFクーポン" but I've not seen anything higher? Not that I check my coupons out that often though.

For Stellaplayer, the UI / navigation is nicer than Pokedora imo.
Sometimes though, product page can take a while to load.
So far, I've only wishlisted items instead of making actual purchases but from what I've seen, bought items should be more easily ripped from the playlist page.

I did not read properly, so sorry! /facepalm

There is no change in the FAQs or announcements but it's possible they just took the CC (Visa, Mastercard) option away without saying so only Animatepay can be used for purchases :x

Though probably AMEX, JCB and Diner's Club may still work?

Pokedora: CC can be used for payments but only for all-ages CDs /welp [though this was what I read from official site; not sure if it changed in the meantime]
Mature content can only use coins (or other local JP payment methods)

I only use DLsite. Even though I need a VPN to access it from where I live, most of the drama CDs there come with translations. I only buy ones that do.

I'm not sure if it's the same on other sites, so I just stick with DLsite for buying drama CDs.

So far I've only used DLsite, because it's convenient and often has discounts. I don't like switching — researching new platforms takes too much energy.

Animatepay charging is pretty much not supportive of foreign cards iirc so for Pokedora, international payments will only be possible if you have cards like AMEX etc. yeah :")

Yeah, unless you have a trusted person to reload at Animate in-store 😭 It's really sketchy of them to not leave these announcements online/on their website (tweet, not mine, from 2025)
