Sometimes things just don't pan out and projects fall through. Are there any you'd like to reminisce about?

I remember back in the day, I was excited for Yandere Heaven Affection Bunny Cage. It was supposed to be a R18 otome game inspired by the Yandere Heaven CD series with original characters. Honestly looks-wise none of the LIs were my type but I liked the CD series for catering to the male yandere trope. The trope seems more popular these days and other doujin works are filling the void but it would've been nice to see what this game could've been!

I'm glad at least one of the cancelled games I want to play (which is Les Grandes Odalisques) is being picked up by other developers.

But other game, if I remember correctly it's called Double Score. The developer went bankrupt before releasing the one I want to play. The one with older guys! I remember being devastated and just played Pub Encounter instead lol

The art style of this game was more approachable than the previous title, and I was really looking forward to playing it. However, the creator became exhausted from battling with haters and suffered health issues, leading to the cancellation of the project. I think creators who become famous should probably close their DMs...

I feel you - my wishlist is full of games that have been in there for years with no hope of release in sight ;-;
Also itch.io - lots and lots or demo or unfinished games that will never see the light of day. Among the ones that disappointed the most there's The Neptune Diaries - it was a game in a where you played as a detective working undercover in a sci-fi setting. I really liked the vibe and setting. It was cancelled so close to climax of the story, too:alice_down:

HAHAHAHA.......

This is a sad topic, it reminds me about the FD of Zettai Kaikyuu Gakuen ~Eden with Roses and Phantasm~ （Absolute Caste Academy）and les grande odalisque. les grade odalisque had delayed several time and once announced something like indefinitely delay, I was shocked when they announced the Aslan route (They even published a date !) I hope they can release all routes ASAP 〒▽〒 What's the meaning of only releasing topic and news but not give me the real game....〒▽〒

Correct!
But... I don't remember it being similar to "Him the Smile & Bloom". Maybe the flower part isn't as detailed or I'm not paying attention. I just remember the romance (in some route)... quite bland and predictable. That's why I'm waiting for the older guys lol
 
Not sure it's officially cancelled, but Ozmafia refleXion... I rlly liked the og game because of scarlet, and though in theory he wouldn't be a love interest in RefleXion... I'll take whatever FJRNRKI give me my boy!!!
Tangentially (IS THIS A WORD) related, back in the day I remember there being an April Fool's Ozmafia game called grimmmafia where it was the same story except we get ourselves picked up by the Grimm family instead of Oz. It was in Japanese and I didn't know how to read anything so I couldn't play it well though. Also I've tried searching it everywhere and it seems like it's lost media now;;;;

Is this the artist of ClubSui? I checked their tweet and they are tweeting Clubsui BTS

yes! it is indeed aizawa anji, the dev for club suicide:D
its so sad how she got bullied and harassed to the point of hospitalization, but at least she seems fine now (she draws joseimuke doujinshi now). i hope we get to see another game illustrated by her sometime..

Why are they harassed? that's so weird! I love her art style! :boys_rage:
