listen to voice drama or read manga

which one do you guys prefer?

l usually read the manga first then l will listen to the voice drama next to feel the situation more.
Doesn't work like that for me. If I listen to a drama CD based on a manga/anime/book/game it's because I'm already a fan of the source material.

I will read comics first, catch up with the stories I want to know, and listen to dubbing CDs when I'm tired of reading.

I listen to Otome CD before going to bed or when I'm free. As a change of mood, I occasionally listen to other music (BGM) to relax myself.

I prefer reading comics. In comics, I love reading Korean comics the most. They have a gorgeous palace style and some very strange plot settings, which are very interesting! Besides reading comics, I also enjoy following anime!

I usually wont touch the cds unless I actually like the manga. And I like seeing the manga first so I can see what the characters actually look like, and understand the story in a more vivid way compared to just listening to voices with no visual assistance/ imagination.

and then when I listen to the CDs I can look back on the manga and be like "ohhh so thats what the scene would have sounded like" and its like joining two and two together lol

My tastes are quite obscure and the majority of manga I read doesn't have voiced dramas, so I'm not used to listening to them. Even if drama cd exists, I only listen to particular favourite moments, never the whole. It's easier to read, then to listen📖

well im a seiyuu fan so listening to drama cd without reading the manga first is actually a normal thing to me... but having the visual on hand is also really nice, like how 好きにさせてみせるから does it, id gladly buy more drama series if they were done that way more often

I usually start with the manga, since it has visuals and I can control the pace—when I want to finish a certain part quickly, I can do so. But with voice dramas, I can't control the timing of each section like that. Still, for works I really enjoy, I generally end up listening to all the related voice dramas as well.

Both at the same time if available.
Especially if the cd drama features seiyuus I love.
Sometimes I won't even read a manga bcs I find it boring but with cd dramas it makes them way more entertaining.

I usually read the manga while listening to the drama CD at the same time.
But I'm more into drama CDs, so I mostly use the manga to understand the situation/context better.
Also really helpful when theres a part I cant catch clearly from the cd lol

I prefer manga, though~ If I ever listen to drama CDs, it's only because I'm a fan of the original work and want to experience the spin-offs.

For BL voice works, it's usually the manga first. If it's the otome voice works, usually the voice works first. Sometimes I listen without knowing the original works because of the seiyuu. Sooo it depends.

I usually read the manga and listen to the drama CD at the same time — that gives a much stronger sense of immersion!🥰

I like to experience the story fresh with the cd first because its easier for me to self insert. Then I would read the manga to understand the situation better where I couldn't fully grasp what was going on. If I loved the cd and the story, I would go back to cd again to get the full experience :ROFLMAO:
