It's a pity that the drama CD of cartoons seems to be decreasing,

I like listening to drama CDs while working on other things. I like them regardless of BL or general. However, it's a shame that drama CDs of these cartoons and animations seem to be disappearing these days.

I like the situations CDs, or other storylines, but I liked to hear characters from unanimated works, so it's a bit of a shame, what about you guys?

I also feel there are fewer anime CDs now. I don't distinguish between otome and BL; as long as the theme fits, I'll watch them to pass the time. For a while, I really loved listening to character songs.
Some anime CDs used to be bestsellers and even adapted into games.
It's a real shame that anime CDs are so rare now.

In the past, there were a lot of audio dramas and character songs as perks such as Blu-ray, but it's sad to reduce it. TT

I really enjoy drama CDs adapted from manga! There used to be a lot of bonus CDs from magazines - I really like collecting & listening to them ♪(´▽`) though these days - they are just cards of QR codes that will expire at some point 💔

Yeah, that's right. I used to listen at Drama CD adapted from manga, it's just have a different feeling when you hear how the characters you only read come to live through voice acting. However, now it's hard to find them.

Publishers still sometimes upload Voice Comics (ボイスコミック) on Youtube, I highly recomend to search for it. They invite famous actors and make them voice several first chapters, so it's basically a "Drama without CD" :giggle:

Yeah, it's really a pity… Drama CDs for popular anime used to be so common, but now they feel much rarer.

I totally get it…!!

I listen not only to otome drama CDs, but also to drama CDs based on anime and manga, so it really makes me sad to see fewer of them being released these days.

I love the unique stories and character banter that only drama CDs can offer, so I really wish there were more of them.

Cds based on comic or manga tend to have more characters acting which I think makes it unique and fun to listen to. I wish they were more common..

There are a lot fewer character songs these days.

Nowadays, most of the work involves voice acting for mobile games and audiobooks—and there's actually more of that kind of work.

I can really feel how times have changed.

same, I think drama CDs used to be a great way to enjoy manga that didn't have an anime adaptation. It was fun to hear the characters come to life through the voice actors. Nowadays, there seem to be fewer drama CDs because anime and streaming services have become more popular. Even so, I still think drama CDs are special, and I hope more of them will be made in the future, especially for manga that haven't been adapted into anime yet.
