Do you object to adult-rated works featuring male and female voices?

I like it when adult-rated otome-style CDs include female voices.
But there are hardly any titles that do.
I suppose it's understandable given the cost, but I think there could be more of them.
Is there really not much demand for them, or do a lot of people dislike them?

nope, i personally dont like them:( makes sense though, since r18 otome dramacd are usually made for selfinserting. also, i just dont like it in general when women are voiced in female-targeted works. some unnecessary sexualized art i can overlook, but voiceover is way too much for me.. ww not that i myself am a selfinserter! if anything, r18 works are the only works i actively refuse to selfinsert in. i just dont like danseimuke contents in joseimuke works, and female moanings in joseimuke are pretty much the definition of that..D:
according to some dlsite reviews, most girlies tend to skip them as well. which again makes sense i guess? theres not much demand for an established heroine in the genre aimed at you (the listener) after all.. or so i think at least

female voices often appear in voiced comics though, so maybe you could look into them ! : 3

As far I know, the rated drama CD with female voices (I assume the female voices you mentioned is as the main character?) mostly adapting from the manga doujins. Sometimes some CDs are released with female voices, but there aren't as many as you might think.

But if you means the female voices as supporting characters or BG sounds, it depends on the Circles when they made new works like adding female voices as in makes the situation feel more realistic or it just as mob characters.

tbh I'm okay with female voices in rated CD but as supporting characters only. iirc some of rated CD fans doesn't like that feature bc some people basically hear those as a self-insert featuring characters from those works, while others find it uncomfortable because it feels like two-timing (even though the female character is just a passing figure)

Oh, so thats why. No wonder when i listened to the first track of this title, i only heard silence during the first few minutes. I was wondering why and it turns out the main track doesnt feature a female voice, but they put it in the bonus file instead.

its not that people are sensitive, but rather thats the entire point of the genre! to like, have the characters talk to "you" and do things to "you". thats why :)

Okay, i get it. People just dont wanna get betray about by what they wanna listen to (especially after knowing sometimes publishers dont always take 乙女向け content seriously) i understand why they feel that way. Thanks for the explanation ;))

Rather than object, I actively look for voiced female characters in drama CDs. If the MC AND LI are both voiced I'm eating GOOD!!!

Usually such works have options for yes/no on the female voice so it doesn't bother me anyway. Lol. For CDs I think it can help with context (I Only listened to the female voice inclusion on Sleeping beauty but I feel like some scenes might have been confusing without it..)

Even people who can't project themselves into the characters are being critical!
Looks like we can't expect any more demand for this, lol.
Projecting myself into the characters doesn't really do it for me either!
That's why I'm the kind of person with a lack of imagination who just ends up wanting to hear the other person's voice.
I'll keep working hard to reach the level of ninnnikuryona, lol.
Voice-acted versions of teen romance manga are great, aren't they? ❤

I think it's mostly due to the fact that then they would probably just be drama CDs and not situation CDs, yeah? I enjoy both genres. but I do suppose most of the R18 tends to be situCD. It *would* make it easier to understand with my more limited Japanese if there was a voiced MC but it makes sense why there isn't due to the nature of the genre. I have also come across some spicy TL audio books with both voices, so I would recommend looking into those too if you haven't !

I see. I guess I didn't really understand the difference between drama CDs and situation CDs.
I've listened to every audiobook available on Audible ❤ I wish there were more of them lol.

If it's about heroine getting voiced then ehh.. I'm not onto it. It feels weird to listen to, though I still can tolerate mobs. I prefer heroine being voiced in all age-rated CDs than adult-rated one.

To be honest, it doesn't bother me, although I prefer them to be supporting characters. However, I'm speaking from a place of ignorance since I've only listened to one CD with female vocals ^^

if she's another character like the lead that's focused on the listener, that's fine. i still prefer the main character heroine to be unvoiced for easier immersion. ʕ •ᴥ•ʔ
