Which yandere character has left the biggest impression on you?

There are many yandere characters in otome games.
Which yandere character has left the biggest impression on you?
For me, Seiju from Under the Moon, the first yandere I met, left a lasting impact.

I'm not sure if Yori (Illusion of Itehari / Utakata no Uchronia) counts as one, but if yes than I guess I'd say Yori lol

I just love how he

tried to get rid of all the guys in MC's life in Awayuki's Route and how it backfired in Awayuki's bad ending.
Wanted MC to marry Yori that entire route (kept my eyes on Yori in other routes too) while being bitter Awayuki's in the way and keeps Yori's route locked.

If not Yori than Toma (Amnesia) 100%!

I didn't even know what a yandere and otome was at that time. His route left me speechless. Got his normal ending 1st (the one where he runs away and you never see him again) playing blind, felt so bad for him and wanted a happier ending instead.
His obsessive love touched my heart.
Toma was the one who made me love yanderes more than other types too.

PS... Gretel's the best boy in TxA!

oh Toma and Tei from nameless was my 1st yandere experience. I hate yandere who lock MC anywere. But seems i can't hate Toma idk why. I was scared at first of them. But now i love them.

Also i played a lot yandere games and not only asian.Usually I want to run away from yandere LI'S :)
Most of time they annoying me. Like White Rabbit from Yandere wonderland . I thought he is nice at first but he is .....just stupid rabbit? lol I ran away from him to a doctor to heal my heart.... But he is creepy T.T This is one of those games where I wanted to run away from all LI's and lock myself away somewhere.

I...don't think any single yandere has left a huge impression on me per se. (Or maybe I've just played too many to pinpoint some characters.)

If I have to pick, I do recall liking Hana Awase's yandere cast's yearning :)

For the ones I've played more recently, maybe Yan from Gentle Pyscho for being quite a sweet yandere?
(I need more people to support the dev and hopefully get the DLC/other character's route out too so linking the store page: https://store.steampowered.com/app/3785640/Gentle_Psycho__Yan_Side/ )

On another note, for those who may not have seen this already, another user here has compiled a yandere masterlist for yandere fans to dive in to, enjoy~

for me it's probably tei from nameless and himeutsugi from hana awase ^^ even tho toma was my first real yandere experience for some reason i found ukyo to be a much scarier character than him lol but tei was actually unnerving for me and his bad ending is still one of my favorites ever ...! he's kind of what i consider the blueprint for a good yandere in my eyes so all my other yandere faves tend to be similar to him ...

nominating himeutsugi solely because he's amongst my high ranked favorite lis ^^ hime's charm point is that he's a very good balance of being cute while also having scary moments !!! i think the guys in hana awase in general (with the exception of kurenai cause surprisingly he's the only normal one??) are very very good examples of yanderes that feel fun to experience ^^

Toma was probably the first yandere character I ever played, and I think he remains the one with the biggest impression on me specifically because of THE CAGE. I don't think anyone will ever top him for that reason lol.

I generally think yanderes always surprise me. There's Toma from Amnesia and Amari from 7'Scarlet, who imprison the protagonist. Since it was one of the first times I'd seen that, it really made an impression on me. I don't know if Ray/Saeran from Mystic Messenger falls into the yandere category, but if he does, he's one too, and he was the first.

Now, I've seen worse yanderes lately, since there's this new trend of putting multiple yanderes in a game. Most of the yanderes in Heart Cage and the Dark routes of Over Requiemz blew my mind, especially Dane,
who creates a world exclusively for the protagonist, and Luke, who does everything he can to keep her from finding out anything
In Over Requiemz, the most impactful dark route for me would be Molly's; it's very disturbing how she clings to the protagonist in both of her endings.

Do you think Minami from 9 R.I.P. could be considered a yandere? I feel like he definitely has some yandere traits. I like him a lot, though. He has so many different sides to his personality that he sometimes leaves me confused myself. Overall, I really like him (灬º‿º灬)♡

I'm not good with horror so I haven't played 9 R.I.P., but looking at the list of yandere thread that icterine showed us, Minami is listed as a possessive type yandere.
I think the posessive type is a typical yandere trait, and I like yandere characters who are the posessive type.

Personally, I don't really think he counts as a yandere. Minami's personality traits are more tied to his character role — since he's a demon, his whole thing is being "moody" and "troublesome." Compared to the "dark turn" and extreme behavior you'd expect from a yandere, he feels more like a playful, clingy kind of "troublemaker." The way he acts is pretty much what you'd expect from a demon, so to me, he comes across more as the "cute little devil" type.

Now that I think about it, maybe Hibiki is actually closer to being a yandere.

Oh, right! How could I forget Hibiki? (´⊙ω⊙`)! I finished 9 R.I.P. quite a while ago. Right now, I'm really into 9 R.I.P. sequel. I just started with Minami's route first, so I might be a little too obsessed with him at the moment

I think he counts as one, we just don't see his yandere side most of the time unless he's serious. As you'd never think Toma's one until what happens.

In Koyo's route Minami...
- wants to kill MC in the alley (after Koyo comes to the rescue) because MC loves another guy, even though he needs her to stay alive
- if you decide to go away instead of going with him (when Minami tries to stop MC from leaving) he puts MC into eternal sleep and takes her back to his tent (same happens in Seiya's route) - those are short bad endings

After clearing Minami's route (1st game)...
Minami says something about being scared other demons might steal MC so he needs to hide her somewhere far away in isolation so nobody else would know about her (or something like that)

In Sequel...
Minami says he would kill MC if she would fall for another guy as that is the highest proof of his love for her (if you love somebody and that somebody doesn't love you back, you kill them out of love - Minami lol)

Toma again for me, he definitely started my love for yanderes. Still the best cage ever imo

I'd say second to him is Kuroyuki from Nightshade. I feel like alot of the times with yanderes, I'm just like "this man is insane (in a way i like)" but for Kuroyuki, I just genuinely felt so bad for him and really just understood why he was acting the way he was </3 Utsutsu from Hana Awase gave me these vibes too

I'm ready for Over Requiemz to feed me more though

Yeah, this one and Binary Star from Binary Star Hero.

I really like him. He's scary, but not so scary that I can't enjoy him. I understand him well enough to follow his logic, but not well enough to predict where that logic might lead him next, and I think that's where a lot of the appeal comes from.

And Yan is just a sweetheart with a tiny bit of crazy to spice the inside.

There are a lot of yanderes I love, but in terms of "impact," it has to be Tei from Nameless, who was my first encounter with the concept in an otome game. When I read his route, I was still in middle school, so there was this "Is this allowed???" feeling that heightened all the creepiness. Bad ends involving him stand in the forefront of most of my memories of Nameless now that it's been so many years, and I can confidently say that encountering him irreparably changed my taste in fiction lol ;; (for the worse? for the better? who's to say...)

So not many people have played this game but for me it's Darius from Harukanaru Toki no Naka de 6.

I will put the details under spoilers but it's funny, you should read it:

MC is a dragon priestess. He locks her up in a room trying to be yandere but she prays to her dragon god and teleports out of the room. He comes back - she's gone - and he's like "Yeah, I guess I should have seen that coming."

Kurumi Masato from MoshiKami. Every time I recall the story of MoshiKami, I remember the fear of being controlled by that twisted brother.
You just can't and shouldn't... after finding out that your friend raped your elementary schooler stepsister, you kill your friend in anger, and then rape your own sister yourself 🤯. That's insane. It's not just childhood trauma, it's a trauma for life.

Toma was probably ( and by probably i meant the first character i considered and knew as a yandere character ) my first yandere character ever and it impacted me negatively…since i played his route i started genuinely ignoring and skipping yandere routes of characters ( even if ik some are really well written in some games ) but my second yandere was gretel from taisho x alice so it didnt really helped me…
