After spending so long pestering my brothers, I finally managed to convince one of them to let me use one of his phones—which happens to be compatible with the game—so I can finally play Love and Deepspace! Yay, I'm so happy!! Ever since I saw the announcement for the game a few years back—before it was even released—I've wanted to play it. However, it wasn't compatible with my caveman-era phone at the time, so I could only watch the people who could play it and follow along a bit on Instagram. I was kinda like this watching everyone having fun with the boys:
I gave the game a try the day before yesterday, and well... it does stutter a bit here and there. I figure that's probably because the game recommended I play on the lowest possible quality setting, but—being stubborn—I set it to medium instead. It would be an absolute travesty to play with the graphics on low and not be able to admire the guys in a decent quality! :p The phone heats up, too, but since it's freezing cold where I live right now, that actually turns out to be a good thing muahahaha. Speaking of which, for those of you who play this game on your phones: what models do you use? Does it lag for you, too? And what phone model do you think is actually best suited for playing this game? Personally, I think this game really should have been released for PC, because it's quite a heavy load. My poor brother actually had to delete his Yu-Gi-Oh! games and a few others just to make room for the game's additional download—which, by the way, I thought was way too big! :O Or maybe it's just normal for modern phones to have that much available storage space, and I've simply gotten too used to the limitations of having only 32GB XD I tried everything to convince my brothers to let me play on one of their PCs, but the one who gave me the phone told me to just be content with his phone, and the other said, "I'm not downloading any kind of emulator—especially not just to install those weird romance games of yours!" :( Well, as the saying goes where I live, "when you are given a horse, you don't judge it by looking at its teeth," so I'll just have to make do with a phone that runs hot, graphics that aren't exactly top-notch, and a game that stutters a bit. But hey, at least it's not crashing on its own like I expected it to. As for the guys, my first impressions—based on seeing bits and pieces here and there on Instagram—remain exactly the same: Xavier seems quite mysterious; Zayne comes across as grumpy and serious; and Rafayel is just super dramatic! XD The guy appeared out of nowhere, stole my chance to catch a fish, and left the protagonist talking to herself—totally high and dry! Hahaha. I really wanted to catch that fish! :( I haven't actually met Sylus in-game yet, since my phone battery drains pretty fast and I'm still early in the story because of that; however, my impression of him is that he gives off a "dangerous" vibe, but is actually a total sweetheart! I just got past the part where we interact with Zayne for the first time. The combat is actually pretty cool; it feels a bit like Final Fantasy XV in terms of the fighting mechanics, and a bit like FFXIII in the sense that it feels somewhat linear. I really liked it—I even got (ahem, *forced*) my brothers to try out the combat sections, and they thought it was cool, too. As for the story, I'm feeling a little lost. Am I right in thinking that we're some kind of agents tasked with eliminating weird monsters? I honestly couldn't quite follow it, partly because when I first started playing, I was a bit annoyed by the game stuttering every now and then, and partly because I was super sleepy at the time. To all the veterans of this game who already know the story: could you give me a hand and explain what's actually going on in this game's universe? If possible, please try to avoid spoilers regarding the specific connections between the guys and the protagonist—I'd really prefer to discover that part on my own :) Also, could you explain and give tips that would be good for a beginner to know? I'm feeling a bit lost because there is just so much to look at and read—I end up getting a little overwhelmed, haha! Thanks to everyone who read this far!
