How much time do you spend on a single otome game? Also, how do you find the time to play otome games?
There are so many games I want to play, but I just don't have enough time. How about you all?
Please let me know if there are any strategies you use to make time.

I usually spend max about 7 days on a single otome, i play the game bit by bit everyday but on the weekend i always play for abit longer 🤔 Also with so many games with long common route, i usually just play one/two LI i like then go to the next game (unless i really like all of the li or the premise of the game but that's like really rare)

Thank you!!! It really is hard to play through every route. I also focus on playing the routes for the characters I like.

If I'm really invested in the game, I'd say it'd take me 2-3 days 🤔 I would try my best to find the time to play it unless I'm really, reaally busy or I'm dead tired from work.

But if it didn't really grip me, I'd probably play 2-3 hours on weekends. So it might take longer for me to finish.

I usually play for around 1h a day, but I can manage up to 3h on weekends. As for how long a game takes, usually about a week or two! I finish otoge pretty fast, since I dont listen to all voiced lines ;)

It takes me around half the estimated playtime in vndb to get all endings, so a 50h game will take more or less 25h. Most otoge I've played I finished in 20h or less, with longer ones at almost 30h

I play about 2–3 hours a day and usually finish a game in a week or two. If I'm exhausted, I just take a break. I've noticed I have less patience for all the text now compared to before, so I usually just complete the routes for a few characters I like and call it a day.

I don't doom scroll on social media which I think helps cut down on some "wasted" time.
When I start games, I don't have any issue steamrolling through it usually quite quickly by spending whatever free time I have each day on the game, although if I hate a game, I will just drop it or move on to something else as a distraction until I have the mental bandwidth to return to it.

average 2-3 hrs per day (including work lunch break) and longer on weekend. I do aim for 2 games per month. I usually finish a 70hrs game full voice in 3 weeks.

Im planning to further my studies so my gaming time will probably reduce.

I play for about one to two hours a day.
If I'm really hooked on a game, I'll even cut back on sleep to play it.

I've come to realize that it's important not to force myself to play games I don't really like.
When my desire to play shifts from "I want to" to "I have to," I try to stop playing as much as possible.
Even if I force myself to play, I'll have forgotten the story within a month anyway…
I'd rather spend my time on games I actually find enjoyable.

I see. So there's also the option of not listening to all the voice lines.
Thanks. I'll keep that in mind.

If playing a game starts to feel like a chore, it's important to take a break for a while. It makes the playtime longer and takes away some of the fun.

It seems like a lot of people play for about two hours a day. It's important to make playing games every day a habit.

I play for about 2-3 hours on my days off or when I have some free time. It usually takes me about a month to fully complete the game.
It's sad that I can't pull all-nighters playing games like I used to when I was younger...

It usually take me months, or even years to finish one full length Japanese otome game. I just want to pick them up to know the story and never finish them... I have work and study and other hobbies in between... Bad habits I know, but when I'm in the mood, I can read the whole route in the 2-3 days span :alice_...:

In my case, it can take me a long time, from several months to almost a year. The thing is, it's time. I'm someone who studies and works part-time, leaving me little to no time to play games. And when vacation time comes, I don't feel like playing because my body is exhausted and just wants to sleep. I think my responsibilities are taking away so much of my fun time that I already feel guilty for having them. 🫠🫠😵‍💫😵‍💫

It really depends ! Sometimes it take me some days ( i finished bustafellows within 3days…i didnt sleep ) but it's around 1week-1month or even more if i have no time motivation…i usually play around 8pm to 4-8am…but yeah i usually do that on vacation time..

I guess I can't pull all-nighters anymore either. All-night gaming is a perk of being young.

I understand. I also have a hard time staying motivated when I have a lot on my plate.

If I really love the game then I'll try to finish it as soon as possible.
So, four to five days.
But if it's boring then I'll take months or even years to get through it.
