Has anyone played the new Holic VN? Aqua Twilight town? What are the impressions?

Also are there any other vn coming out? I remember reading Adelta was planning an Ooe sequel?

Oh the Senpai.. I forgot about him... his route starts with the main character getting molested and sexually assaulted by the Senpai so I'm not sure I'd call him heartwarming...

I really don't like rape to love. I can deal with the love interest doing something bad after they fall in love, but someone falling in love with the person who molested them is just a big nono for me sorry :X

In retrospect I don't think I liked Arcadia much....? I guess the art was good but it felt like reading a 10 years old BL with the amount of rape/noncoon it has.

The protagonist didn't fall in love with Senpai after that scene tho ? He literally confessed he was in love with him right before it happened.

Kouichi started touching him afterwards cause he wanted to make the protagonist feel disgusted by him and hate him but it didn't work as the protagonist ended up enjoying it. It was a pretty weird dub con handjob scene but I didn't find it that bad to read, especially compared to most of the H scenes I've read in Kintouka, and Senpai became much more caring towards the protagonist in the following H scenes, hence why I called the second half of his route heartwarming.

Also to me the non-con stuff doesn't matter when it happens as I don't like it anyway but if a person who loves the protagonist does it I think it's even worse.

Not who you quotted but I've played 2 routes so far from Tokyo 24-ku and it had the most respectful semes during sex scenes from any JP BL VN (in the best endings at least), they actually stopped when the protagonist would start saying no during sex and asked him if they wanted to continue and actually kept their word when they said that they wouldn't do anything that the protagonist wouldn't like, that VN may have portrayed politicians as better people than they usually are irl lol. There was only 1 forced kiss so far but it wasn't cause of the seme lusting after the uke, but the reason why he did it represents a pretty big spoiler from his route.

Honestly, the more I talk about this game the more I remember how rapey it felt lol I think if we combined the bad ending there are only 2 or 3 scenes that don't feel like rape/noncon to me. I was especially uncomfortable during the brown hair boy route because

id say slow damage is different from most BLVNs because of the protagonists taste for very kinky/bloody stuff (so he is a good fit for nitrochiral)
lesson is on my to play list!

but unfortunately all jp BLVNs i have played have at least a few non con elements, and im not only talking about bad ends (i didnt play BLVNs from other countries yet, i heard they are better in this field)
so its more about finding ones where some routes are good, rather than finding a game without non con stuff at all because ive never heard about a JP BLVN where theres no non con elements at all unfortunately

Twilight Aqua Town and others HolicWorks VN are popular in my opinion, it's just that people don't usually recommend them much... By the way, did you see this on X? Would you like a remake or sequel of Omerta?
In my opinion, this game became very popular with MTL; now it's much easier to understand than before.

Well I mostly enjoyed Kouichi's second half of the route as he acted much more gentle and respectful in these sex scenes and there were actually fully consensual. Riou's route was more meh for me overall but he also seemed to act better in his last H scene after his lying got exposed. And well at most I tolerate dub con cause I know how common that is even in the more vanilla BL VNs routes but I can't say I enjoy it.

Probably I would've actually hated Kouichi too if that first H scene was full penetration sex instead of just a handjob. Maybe I'm a bit hypocritical for being more forgiving towards unwilling touching than unwilling penetration (but for the record I don't enjoy reading the first one either).

Honestly I truly believed the protagonist realised that he was in love in that scene cause didn't his monologue was about how he realised why he felt so jealous over Kouichi potentially having a girlfriend on the outside ? Or did that happen in another scene ? Maybe I misremember cause it's been years since I've played his route, I just remember even other people saying that the protagonist never doubted his feelings for Kouichi were love unlike in the other 2 routes. I don't know if it makes much sense for the protagonist to say that he likes him platonically cause he already considered Senpai a friend from way before then, but maybe one day I'll replay his route and see what he actually meant.

Also sorry for triggering you, it wasn't my intention. But you literally brought up Haiiro yourself when I was talking about a completely different VN. I didn't mean to convince you of how r*pey it was or not, but Idk what your examples from Haiiro were trying to prove when it came to me disliking Kintouka ...

I played haiiro no arcadia but unfortunatley I just finished Rio route and quitted it. The writing if putted in otome game side, not bad, but not upto BL game standard in my opinion.

I enjoyed Tokyo Satsujinki Gakkou no Kaidan, good writing and I did enjoy several character route.

And also Lesson. Not quite into the romatic storyline, but really appreciate on the protraying of the MC's psychology (similar as Paradise's MC, both writer do good work on research). I believe BL game writer not only view BL game as a entertainment but as a platform to express their view on society and humanity, which is very meaningful.

Inga Kiriku from Dystopia no ou. I never see a character like this, especially in BL genre. He is so sunshine but not naive. Did make reasonable decision and have great chemistry with each guys as well
