Do you track how long you play a game? If so, how do you do it?

So far most of the VNs I've been playing are on PC, so while some of them have an in-game timer, lots of them don't. I personally like to know how long I've spent playing a game so I usually use a stopwatch on my phone or laptop to track it (yeah it's a tedious way to do it lol). If I'm playing on the switch then the console tracks your playtime for you so that's convenient (though I heard it's not completely accurate).

im using playnite or vnmanager! i used to count my times manually, but naturally its a little.. inconvenient LOL

vnmanager is great for vns that are on vndb, and playnite is cool for games overall! though playnite a little messy-looking for me because i dont know how to create lists/folders in it (unlike vnmanager), and i dont like how you have to manually rename your games because sometimes it uses the name of the .exe file instead. but you can manually adjust your playtime down to seconds which is kinda cool! it sure as heck helped me with inputting my manually tracked times without the need to keep the game open for x amout of hours xdd also helps me with recording my ace attorney times too, since its separated into three entries on vndb!

It is sometime interesting to know how much time I've spent playing the game, but i don't really track time because i often tend to distract and just leave the game open for a bunch of hours without actually playing it ahaha

I used to don't but I prefer I do. I recently started tracking my vita game play after installing a plugin.

Does anybody know a good playtime tracker application for PC emulator on android? I like to play on the go but I haven't found one compatible yet.

I track for console games like Switch or Vita, but I'm not as diligent with PC titles. Either I'll use the in-game timer or just get the approximate time (I take note when I start the game and when I'm saving to quit for the day)

My playtimes in vndb are private so I don't mind the inaccuracy too much though. I'm also a fast reader so it's not that big of a deal when I forget lol

you are very welcome!:D but as far as i know theyre pc only, and im not sure if they work with emulators..;;

I only really track my time on steam since it does it automatically, I should probably see about getting something to track non steam games too sometime.

Steam and Switch will keep records. Besides, there's also PSV! As for other platforms, if there's no record, I won't manually record it either. Haha.

I only check records on Steam and Switch.However, it takes me a long time to finish a game, and I don't close it even if I step away to eat or do something else, so it's not very accurate.

I don't usually keep track of my total playtime. Since I tend to play PC games whenever I feel like it, I don't really pay much attention to how many hours I've put in. Instead, I make a note of the specific times I was engrossed in the game. When I look back on those notes later, it brings back the emotions I felt at the time, which is a nice, warm feeling.

Don't really pay attention much to my tracked hours, but I mostly use playnite and steam which does come with it automatically. I'm also thinking of using RomM to manage roms and emulators, and it does also have play time tracking

I use notion to record time.But I often forget to do it.Switch will automatically record game time.
