What are your thoughts on the ABO world setting in otome games?

I prefer the female Alpha and male Omega setting. I feel that way the heroine is stronger, and the male lead's character situation is also more novel and interesting. Female Beta feels pretty good too — in a world where everyone is in heat all the time, a character who remains unmoved, calm, and rational. But if it's female Omega and male Alpha, the ABO setting might actually reinforce gender inequality, making the heroine physically even more disadvantaged.

The heroine unconsciously exuding sexiness is indeed quite appealing, so I have some expectations for the game "君に惑い、君に溺れる。" Actually, I'm also a bit confused about the female Alpha setting. In the traditional ABO world, regarding the depiction of sexual organs, I'm really afraid that the heroine might end up with an extra something. Because then I would feel she is no longer a woman.

oh yes true!! futanari is not appealing to me at all, although if its executed in a funny enough way (like in futanari alice, where she got a dick as punishment from the queen), i might kiiiiinda overlook it. but anyway yeah id rather have futanari stay in bishoujoge settings..^^;;

I think this upcoming otome omegaverse game is going to be interesting. I understand people saying "there's no point in a heterosexual omegaverse existing," but omegaverse is much more than just heat and pregnancy.

I also think it would be interesting to have an otome omegaverse game where the characters can transform into wolves too, like in Twilight

One of my all-time favorite fanfics is also an omegaverse where they can transform into wolves, but it's a BL. Everything was very well executed in that fanfic, and I hope to see an otome game like that someday.

One of my all-time favorite fanfics is also an omegaverse where they can transform into wolves, but it's a BL. Everything was very well executed in that fanfic, and I hope to see an otome game like that someday.

In my opinion, the aspect more worth exploring in the ABO world setting is the social environment. There may be areas worth digging deeper into. Whenever I come across this kind of setting, I can't help but think about the social situation of Omegas. But that's a rather serious topic. In my mind, that has already strayed from the original purpose of creating this setting. The ABO setting actually has plenty of room for creativity in otome games as well, and I'm looking forward to it. However, it can't be denied that if you want to see even more new and varied takes, you still have to look at BL.

(regarding "parts"...I don't think a f!alpha has to be adjusted to fit the m!alpha physicality as power bottoms exist in the world...just sayin'...)

damn lol, i looked on vndb and apparently there are only four omegaverse otome, three without wakudeki, and one of them has ai trash in it. if you dont remove the gxg tag, two more games pop up, but in one of them, mc is a futanari (and it has gxg), and the other is not even otome. truly an unexplored niche...............

A very interesting setting for an otome, has a lot of potential for sure. Would like to see a game digging deeper into the social aspects, not that it's likely to happens though.

Honestly, I would like a F!Alpha, I've always like a strong MC who can do everything on her own. As for the M!Alpha and F!Omega, feels like a waste since it just reinforces the inequality and power imbalance that a lot of Otome already, intentionally or not, tend to do. That being said, I do not want the Alpha MC to have any extra body parts, that is a turn off for me =))

A F!Beta would be awesome too, as a normal person in a world full of weirdos who act like animals due to pheromones and heats =)) I would love for her to have judgmental eyes all the time.

We dont have many dom!MC, do we ;-; Such a shame, I like that trope so much. There are a lot of ways to write a dom!MC too, like a player or a manipulator.

AO pairing is too common. It doesn't mean they're boring , but I'd like to see a bit more variety in the story. For examples, AA, AB , BA, BB, BO, OA , OO, OB—these seem to open up more possibilities for creating different romantic plots.

I like it! Actually on the topic of Alpha LI x Omega MC, I think the omegaverse setting offers a way to deepen the social inequality discussion with heavier stakes (and they can even take a subversion approach!)

I like other dynamics as well, Alpha x Alpha is very fun, and Omega x Omega can have some nice angst to it. So many possibilities in omegaverse otome! It's already quite popular in shoujo, so I'm excited to see more on the otoge side :)

I want to see settings where the female lead is a Beta or an Alpha—that would be way more interesting. If she's just an Omega, it feels no different from the usual otome games. Let the heroine be more dominant.lol
But it feels like this kind of theme seems more suited for BL works.

A big yes! Classic alpha male/ omega female is good, too. But I think I saw a few mangas with the flipped version and it was very interesting as well. I wish there are more otome ABO series.

I haven't played any games from the Abo world, but I feel like it's a very unexplored niche in otome games, which is why I'm excited about the new game Wakudeki.

Tbh, I don't think an omega MC would interest me, because it would feel too similar to a regular otome and wouldn't really explore what I personally find interesting about the omegaverse setting lol... unless all the LIs were omegas? (that would actually be really interesting to see). An alpha MC would totally win me over, though. Seeing her interact with alpha, beta, and omega LIs would be gold to me.
