I like historical settings in otome games, the mix of atmosphere, meaning, and experience that modern settings sometimes don't give. The clothing, architecture, customs, even how the characters speak. It creates a world that makes me very curious about it. (Due to that, i've also searched the different historical periods in Japan such as Sengoku, Edo, Taisho, Meiji etc)

It leaves a stronger impression on me.
