Do VAs influence you to start an Otome?

Yes, a hundred times yes! VAs are the reason I get interested, then next comes the plot and the art. But sometimes just the premise is good enough to get me to play something. But having my favorite VAs always enhances my experience tenfold.

Yes...i tend to look at the VA cast while looking at the game, and if Matsuoka Yoshitsugu, Furukawa Makoto, or Yashiro Taku is in the lineup, it gets me excited and motivated to play the game haha

very much yes! there are a lot of aspects that make me get an otomege, sometimes it's the writer, sometimes the art/visual, and more often than not if I see Ishikawa Kaito in the cast I buy immediately. Even if the game turns out not that great it's still worth.

Totally!!! it really influences my experience. What i like the most when playing visual games is the voice acting, it adds a layer of depth to the characters. Most seiyuu casts fit their roles really well, the staff usually does a good job choosing them, but when i see my favorites, i already expect a peak performance

I'm also open to seeing more newcomers in otoge. For example, i know ura kazuki's usual performances, and so far he has three LIs (with two upcoming games), but i haven't heard his role in moeyo yet, so i'm waiting for that

I still want to see veteran seiyuu in otome games too, their quality is on another level, so i know they can keep delivering great performances if they're chosen for upcoming titles

My LIs often end up being voiced by same VAs, and yes I did check cast list beforehand.
tho nowadays I try not to pay much attention to who's participating and just casually start the game :p

Instant hype if they're voiced by fave VAs. If not, still a new discovery. Double the win, yay!

I tend to go in blind and not know who the VAs are. However! If there's a voice I really like while playing, will definitely influence me to go for that character more just to hear more of their lines

There are seiyuus I really like so yes it does play a factor! If Mamo, Kaji Yuki, and Kimuryo are there I am 100% playing it. I am open to newer seiyuus as well so I'm still open to trying new things. But nowadays, some of the og seiyuus are moving onto other things that if they are in a newer title it kinda feels like home so i wanna play it more

yess, i love paying attention to the seiyuus and have a few favorites
On the other side, if i hear Okamoto Nobuhiko my motivation to start or finish a game goes down quickly, unfortunately for me he's in a lot of them 😔

Yes, it already occurred to me to consult the voice actors to decide whether to research more about a game hehe✨. I like the Japanese voice actors: Tachibana Shinnosuke, Konishi Katsuyuki, Morikawa Toshiyuki, Takeuchi Ryouta and Hirakawa Daisuke. 💕

I'd say it had considerable impact on me! Since im a Nobunaga Shimazaki fan, knowing he voiced Ritsu in Olympia Soirée or Silver in Twisted Wonderland make the characters my favorites due to my bias(*´∇`*)

I'd say VAs definitely encourage me, but they don't dictate my backlog. I'm not going to pick up a game that looks boring to me just because of the VAs. Like with art, I definitely have some favorites but a ton of VAs are pretty good. Interesting to see all the seiyuu love here~

Yes! I always look closer 👀 when I see voice actor I kinda like in the list. But sadly I feel like every time this happens I always like another character :akazukin_cry: this is what happened when I played cafe enchante for Yuuichiro Umehara but then I liked Il instead

When I just started playing Otome, I wanted to play more works by certain VAs. Recently, I've become more interested in the appearances of VAs who haven't heard their names.

I feel awkward as the odd one out here. VAs don't influence my decision to pick up games, like, at all. I rarely look up the seiyuu list too. Japanese VAs are good at what they do anyway, I can't recall any particular time when I was worried about the voice quality. Maybe I just don't have high standards like the seiyuu enthusiasts? My first games back in the day were indie ones that didn't have any voice acting, so I usually consider voices a plus, not a must.

I don't feel comfortable being attached to a certain VA's voice either. Even if they're acting with their voices, they are still real people and their voices are also real... If I start associating characters with the VAs, I will seeing the VAs as real people themselves instead of the characters they play, which breaks the immersion for me. It's hard to articulate my thoughts on this matter but I tried 🥲

That said I do listen to drama CDs from time to time, I'm not against audio works. But again I pick products based on settings, story, art and overall vibes, not the seiyuu themselves.

Very much 🙂↕️ It is not definitive but it helps a lot to know the voice cast to make me decide if starting an otome game or wait a little bit

Sameee. I never look up the cast before picking up a game, I just go in completely blind in that regard. The only time I ever notice is if I'm already playing and suddenly recognize a voice, like "oh wait that's X" and then move on xd
