Do you mean the official translation by Primula? It's bad?Taisho x Alice... ;w;
I don't hate it that much but the localization makes it difficult to get through lol
cheritz fell off hard. not only they use and support ai generations (that infamous 707 generation incident a couple of years ago, plus many suspect their birthday artworks are actually ai as well), they apparently try hard to bait fujoshi into playing their games? the ssum has a ton of bxb "jokes", and you as heroine cant even reject them or get mad at them. obviously the playerbase is pissed too lolCheritz games. Because of their online protection, they were among some of the first games I bought with my own money.
Oh I've heard of that too. iirc they denied it at first but then after 'investigation' they said the artist admitted using AI.cheritz fell off hard. not only they use and support ai generations (that infamous 707 generation incident a couple of years ago, plus many suspect their birthday artworks are actually ai as well), they apparently try hard to bait fujoshi into playing their games? the ssum has a ton of bxb "jokes", and you as heroine cant even reject them or get mad at them. obviously the playerbase is pissed too lol
Personally I don't think it's that bad, just very "of its time". It's like being blasted back to around 2015, which I think is kinda charming, but I could only handle it in small doses. (• ▽ •;)Do you mean the official translation by Primula? It's bad?
I agree with you, I never found that game appealing. The protagonist had no personality other than to be the naive oneOmg, same. That game is awful, all over the place, mc boring, and the love interests are mostly red flags and not even interesting ones hahaha

and sometimes I felt embarrassed for what she did or how she acted (0% self-respect), and the routes had a lot of red flags or nonsensical story.Too many.
You enjoyed the anime but not the game? Why? Does it have something to do with the extent of how far they go with things in the visual novel?I am adding to the list of people who were disappointed by Diabolik Lovers ahaha. I didn't expect to find so many like-minded people in this thread considering how much people love the game. I actually liked the anime.
It's been a long time since I watched the anime and only a few months since I tried out the visual novel so there might be some bias, but I thought the anime was a sort of funny "so bad it's good" anime where this girl just gets treated badly and I didn't try to view it as any sort of romantic story at the time. After years of hearing people hype up Diabolik Lovers as this dark and edgy otome game, I just thought it was boring and I didn't like the format of bite-sized scenes the vn has. Makes me wonder if I'd enjoy it more as a drama CD than a visual novel.You enjoyed the anime but not the game? Why?
