What's your favorite art style in a BL game?

Which is your favorite one? Or what general art style do you prefer to have in your BL game?
I personally gravitate more towards a clean art style but where the dudes look not "too pretty" but a little bit edgier. I think I love every Nitro + Chiral style but my top one is probably Honyalala's from DMMD.

Me too! I feel like their art styles are pretty good and unique for each game which makes them pretty recognizeable from afar.

I like togainu no chi's art style out of all of Nitro + chiral though, its edgy and has a very vintage-ish look which I like. Lamento has the same artist, Kana Tatana if I'm correct, which I ended up liking as well!

Absolutely! All the N+C games have such unique and unforgettable stories and each artstyle reflects it's core. I remember how much I was obsessed with TnC bc at the time there weren't that many BL games with such clean and, as you said, edgy art styles. I was so sad when Tatana Kana left after Lamento (idk if she left or nitro decided to change the artist) but I ended up loving every artstyle N+C used afterwards too!!

BL game with my fav art style has got to be Hashihime (or anything by Adelta tbh)

Just the kind of vibes I like!

And if gacha games could be included in this answer, I also like Noctilucent and Nu:Carnival's art style :blushhappy:

I actually really love shoujo art styles so the art in Shingakkou, Messiah and Lemures Blue is my favourite. It's perfect when both the uke and seme are cute/beautiful imo <3. Otherwise I've also really grown to like ADELTA's style too. The semes are really cute there too (I love Kawase and Shimbashi so muchhhh).

My favorite N+C art style is sweet pool! I really like the color scheme and character design.

I also really enjoy Lkyt (love the character design and lightning in the game), Anata Nikki Euforia (the coloring is very beautiful, with the muted palette and all) and Hashihime (so colorful and creative!)

another ADELTA's style fan is here, idk it just really unique in some ways, love their colors. i also like tennenouji's style in LD1

Oh yes! Adelta's style grew on me a lot! It has something so atmopheric about it!

I'm not aware of Noctilucent but I know Nu:Carneval and I like that style too! I don't play gacha games but i did download the artbook!

Ahh I see! I do like the style of Lemures Blue, it's so cute! I havn't played it yet but it has been on my to-play list for a looong time now. Shingakkou has a very unique style! Shojo-esque but also kinda retro at the same time, which I do like (I like a mix between modern and retro )!

YESSS, I love that style too! It's so gloomy and beautiful! The character design too!
I haven't played Lkyt yet but I know the art style. I think it's still the same person as Room nr 9 (?). Euphoria definitely has a soft and gentle vibe! Love Adelta's style!

Agreed! OMG Yura's style has been changing throughout all the games haha! I ADORE her Lucky Dog style! The colors, the theme, just everything is perfect! I'm playing Lucky Dog right now. I have palyed it wayyy back when but only the Gulio route and now (like after a decade lol) I'm finishing the rest!
 
yessss ADELTA's art is so peak. Not 100% BL (but I'll count it bc they were SUPPOSED to do the art for a BL game) but the artist for ClubSu - I would have simply passed away if we had a BL game with their art. I also really like vibrant styles, like Night/shade: you're the drug. It's just so pretty...

I looked it up and I love the ClubSu art!! The artist was supposed to work on an BL game but something happened? Was the project cancelled? I'd love a BL game with this art style too!
 
I'm a big fan of N+C's art styles too! 😄 I like how they fit really well with the feeling of each of the games like togainu's grunginess and dmmd's colorful cyberpunk style.

I can't remember exactly what happened but I think they stepped down from being the artist for Suito wa Hakumei! The game has since been released but with a different artist - still wonderful art!!!

100%!! All N+C games look and feel like they've had a huge amount fo effort and thought put into them. The careful selection of artists, music, etc.

Ohh I see. Well, that's a shame...I hope the artist will have a chance to illustrate another BL game sometime in the future. Yes, Suito wa Hakumei has still beautiful art!
