Unnecessarily Violent MLs in Mangas/Manwhas. I can't even recall how many stories I've read where the ML just waltzes in and kills the FLs family/anyone that bothers her because they were mean to the FL and the ML can't stand to see her hurt or whatever. Feels like poor character writing imo. Throw them in jail, make them go to trial, idk instakilling even a minor villain for bullying a FL seems like overkill

Overly possessive and jealous characters. It just irks me a little, I get being jealous and wanting your partner for yourself but not up to the point of violence. Wanting to kill someone for looking at your partner is a little overkill I'm okay with yanderes though since the concept of the character is already explained.

this is more manga related, but love triangles or 2nd ml syndrome!! i know that manga needs some juicy drama sometimes to keep things between the characters going, but holy shit is it a slog to read through every single time;; especially if 2nd ml is like, a genuinely good person!!!! i dont wanna waste time feeling for a character whos not the endgame........TT

living no matsunaga-san is insaaaaanely guilty for this in my eyes! ryou is SUCH A GOOD CHILD and i LOOOVED watching him slowly fall in love with miko, especially considering how he wasnt even interested in romance until she came! and it doesnt help that compared to him, matsunaga kinda acted like a moron for a good chunk of that arc! and to think that he ends up all alone in the end, with implications that he still has feelings for miko, was SO SO SO PAINFUL!!!!!! i pretty much read the entire manga in one sitting, yet i still ended up feeling like shit because of it!

Yeah, I also hate miscommunication. Like, I don't mind it if it doesN't last long, but if It takes almost the entire story to resolve something that could have been solved in just a conversation, it really frustrates me xd. Also, I really dislike purposefully trying to make someone jealous. Say... the LI using someone else with the only purpose of making you jealous, or just over all flirting with that intention.

this is for otoges specifically but i personally dont enjoy when lis push away the mc because they think that's what is good for them OR when they try to distance themselves because someone else would be a better fit to be their partner TT i get that it creates good angst and yearning scenes and that it mostly comes from a place of protection or "making the mature decision" but i dislike it so much >< like ok you might think this is good for them but that's just your cowardice !!! be greedier about what you truly want !!!

LIs who are obsessed with their mothers or some other family member and either that prevents them from romancing the protagonist without issue or that they are only attracted to her because she reminds him of his family member. When I notice that in a ML I don't even attempt his route. Their romances all play out the same and are boring. I get incest is a kink but how is it a kink that services the player in some way if she's not even related to him? Or maybe I have it all wrong and its a light degradation kink of some sort. Either way I don't like it.
