Any otome games where you didn't like any of the LI's but love plot?

Even if tempest for me, absolutely. I love the unique themes, plot, and the MC is sooo cute and I love her! However, I could care less for any of the love interests in that game (◜¬◝ ) don't really care for any of them, nothing more to it.

i'd say code: realize. i love the story, i think it's very beautiful and different, but... none of the lis captivated me, unfortunately 😔

It's the opposite for me. I liked all routes . Usually i play only 1-2 But I only completed the game on the 5th try.Because first 1-2h was boring for me.

I have not played many games yet, but closest one is Hiiro no Kakera. I like THE IDEA of that story, but the execution in individual routes is just poor, in my opinion.

And I did not actively hate LIs, just did not felt any affinity towards any of them :alice_fall:

for me... the characters are the main driving force of the story, so if i don't like any of the characters i usually don't like the plot as well.
even now, i do remember there was a game i didn't like any of the characters in, and i can't even remember it's name...

very tricky to answer since i feel like theres always atleast one LI that i can latch onto but i think i have to say steam prison too. i remember loving the world, the set up, and the heroine but i remember nothing about the LIs

It's not that I did'nt like any LI in 7 scarlet but the plot itself was more interesting than the romance in any route so there's that. Steam prison too has such good beginning but the LIs are not memorable and romance writing and development of it felt forced. Was cringing throughout Eltcreed's route I hate him, the only thing I remember about that game vividly is my hate for him😂

Illusion of Itehari… I mean, I love the worldbuilding and I like the characters, but I don't love them. When I finished the game, I felt it was a good story, but most of the time I was more focused on how the society was constructed than on the characters themselves.

There were some LIs I expected to connect with more, but it didn't really happen. Maybe if they localize the sequel, I'll feel more attached to them

For me is Tengoku Struggle. The plot seemed fun but the LIs are quite boring. But what ruined the game for me is the MC she isn't coherent at all

I felt this way with Collar x Malice. I heard good things about it before playing it, but I just couldn't connect with the LI's. Really a shame because the story and worldbuilding are great.

Same for me with 7'Scarlet. I did like secret route quite a bit, mostly for story reasons, but the LIs didn't interest me much.

Taisho x Alice for me. Usually there has to be at least one that I find interesting since romancing the characters is the main reason I'm playing otome games.

I love the story of 7'Scarlet and how mysterious it is. Otome games with horror/mystery aspects are my favorites, but the Ll's felt so bland to me. Not fleshed out enough tbh, along with the MC. She was NOT trying hard enough. In an alternate universe, Isora would've been a fire route for me.

winter's wish the plot is actually interesting and the story is pretty good but the lis are extremely ugly i almost feel bad saying it but yeah i really didnt like any of them

Jack Jeanne!Even though the game's storyline is great and the LI's are really good too.But mc is so shining.I was completely captivated by the plot throughout the performance. So I basically didn't pay any attention to the LI's at all.

That's how I felt about Sweet Crown. I found the world-building and setting interesting, and I even completed the game, but I just don't find the characters themselves appealing.

Distorted Code. Its story was amazing! I had such a blast, yet the character I obsessed over is...a side character😅😂
I partially blame the game itself for barely developing any of the romance with the LIs. They had potential.

Steam prison too. And it's such a shame, all the characters look so good. But I just couldn't fall in love with any of them. Fandisk didn't help either.

To be fair there was little romance in some of Steam Prison's routes. I don't remember much happening in Ulrik's route til the end. Fin's route was generally disapointing, it was very short and felt bland

Black Wolves Saga... Honestly, playing this game really gave me PTSD. My mind was screaming the whole time: "Call the police! Call the police! Get away from me, you bunch of lunatics!" But damn it, my hands just wouldn't stop; I had to see how much worse this trash could get the world.
This game isn't designed to make you fall in love; it's designed to break your heart and make you nauseous. The male leads are all incredibly wicked and insane; you can't possibly love them, but the sense of utter despair from the "total collapse" is terrifyingly real. This isn't an otome game; this is a massive display of human depravity. I have zero affection for the characters, but I give the insane script a five-star rating, especially the cat twins. I felt like calling the police every ten minutes. Yet, I still stayed up all night playing through all their bad endings. I think this game might have driven me insane too.

Honestly hard question. If I can't like even 1 LI, then the game would go on an hiatus for god knows how long

Psychedelica of the Ashen Hawk, I don't even know if it's considered an otome game.
