The anime Terror In Resonance was incredibly influential for my growth after I watched it. It made me rethink my view on the world and my trust in certain organizations. Is there anything you have watched that had changed your life or mindset towards anything?

  1. Re-LIFE for being content with where you are regardless of how your past is (FOMO of missed opportunities),
  2. Utawarerumono for striving to become a person with skills that are transformative and flexible (how does your skills translate in unknown environments?),
  3. Barakamon for giving an effort (despite being someone with antisocial/introverted tendencies) to remain in a good relationship with family, friends, peers and neighbors,
  4. Rent-A-Girlfriend for using MC as an anti-example of how you can mess up your relationship and on how you should not treat someone you like (objectifying her, treating her as a prize and possession instead of a person).

Indeed, Barakamon is amazing. Truly makes you rethink a lot of stuff.

"ReLife", made me really think how I suppose to behave and cherished the moments when I live between people's I care and adores.

Might be an embarassing and cliched answer but watching Evangelion back when I was 11 and in a depressive slump seriously helped me with eventually overcoming my issues months later, Eva today is seen as a little overhyped and mainstream but it truly left a powerful impression on my self, my art, my morals and how I lead my view of the world. To this day every time I write a story where a character has a breakdown and its seriously examined, or simply a mental segment where their psychology is examined, I have to pause and think "Goddamn it this is Hideaki Anno inside me." (friend inside me)

This one didn't make me really re-think my life per say, but Legend of the Galactic heroes, made me feel the fleetingness of life, and that we're all just a part of the grander narrative of the universe, and that ultimately it's the individual connections that mean anything in the grander narrative.

I'm not sure, but a lot of anime have made me reflect on my life.
  • Attack on Titan (currently watching): the life of a human is so insignificant alone, but all together can make changes, fight for that one goal, that future and never regret about your decisions. There was never right or wrong choices, the world is not white or black, there are also gray zones.
  • Clannad after story: an ordinary life where your parents are alive, you have a job, you have your family and friends there is also a way of happiness and we should be thankful for it.
  • Naruto: this little boy never gave up his dream, work hard for it, believe in the progress and just do it.
  • Haikyuu: dont let the external factors (height) affect you to do what you like the most (to play voleiball and be pro of it)

Attack on Titan is really good, I rewatched it two years ago and made my mom watch it with me. She's not even that big of an animes but even she liked it a lot in the end, lol. I hope you enjoy the plot twists! Oh, and don't skip the ending songs on Season 3 :)

Ano Hana. When I watched it, I was just a pre-teen, so it didn't have as much of an impact on me as it does now.
