Diving Into the world of Musical Anime!

So I've picked up Bang Dream : KillKiss Music CD without even knowing whats the franchise is and the music is an absolute banger is from an anime franchise!
Then i dove in deeper and found that theres Tons like em like Bocchi The Rock, Bang Dream : My GO! and Love Life! for Idol and Rock
There's also D4DJ for EDMs! ( somehow there's RONDO in there)

about the closest i got to 'music anime' are the symphogear and macross franchises. both of which varied in how well they tied the music/singing to the action. when it worked it boosted the excitement and emotional response to the drama like a more integraed use of ost music, when it didnt work, it was cringey.

My only experience with musicals in anime was Dance with Devils, and I cannot recommend it. Haven't played the otome the anime was based on, but I'm sure the music was much more tolerable there.

I love Hibike Euphonium (Sound Euphonium) which is by far the best, most realistic, music related Anime ever made. The quality of the songs and the realism of both the animation and the story are absolutely unmatched.

I played the otome (in psv), unfortunately (??) there are no musical elements in the game LOL

La Corda literally got me into playing violin along with Shugo Chara

About musical, i usually get to them first knowing their music and then the anime;
For example, my first musical was Kagerou Days, they released really good music with plot in youtube, and then they got anime announcement.
But the anime wasnt good... i didnt finish it lol.

And then, tsukiuta~~ this one i know about them through anime, really good!

The last one, which im still in the fandom... is PARADOX LIVE, knew about them since 2022, the music is really really goood!!
My favorite band there is Akanyatsura; AKYR

I dont know, the storytelling felt kinda weird hahaha and the animation sometimes seem awkward but i know that hey have a really good story, since i watched all their musical videos. AND YESSSS, KAGEROU PROJECT is very olddd, i still remember where all the utaites (singers that do covers in Japan) did cover from their songs, such as Mafumafu, 96Neko etc.

In terms of anime, I really like Shigatsu and Nodame Cantalibe. While I don't know if La Corda d'Oro has an anime adaptation, the music game I played really made me feel a connection. Unfortunately, I don't know Japanese very well, and I never managed to get with either of the guys, but honestly, nowadays I have more fun collecting the songs and playing them in performances than the romance itself, haha. One day I'll learn Japanese and finally get romance, my beloved Hihara, but until then I'm just playing the songs XD

I LIKE NODAMEEE CANTABILEEE, actually i´ve rewatched it last year!
I really like how Nodame try to workhard to stay in the same world that Chiaki is standing.
And how Chiaki became softer due to Nodami´s influence.
