What was your biggest mobile otome shut-down heartbreak?

Super sad that Last Legacy from Fictif never got a proper ending (I think they got bought by Dorian and then Dorian never did anything with the stories). I miss a lot of the Shall We Date games too.

The biggest problem with mobile games is that even if they keep getting updates,
they will eventually come to an end—unless they're exceptionally popular.
When the servers shut down and there's no console port,
the feeling of all those memories disappearing is truly awful... QAQ
Like Ruby Party's Kiniro no Corda Starlight Orchestra, which only lasted three years...
Even though I really like the game itself, the gacha system in mobile games is still quite painful for me...
So I tend to choose mobile games that you can buy outright,
because server shutdowns are so traumatizing...
I really hope Ruby Party comes back to make console otome games,
but their latest otome game is still a mobile game... I'm so sad...

(My native language isn't English, so please forgive any weird grammar or wording.)
I know that feeling. I cried when Agate (an indonesian gaming company) shut down memories app and my favorite game "Hansel & Gretel: Food Fantasy" was lost forever. It wasn't as popular as one of the games in the app that got a pc and switch port. (celestia: chain of fate) so I knew i would never see it again.

Yes, so I often think that if the service really has to end,
the company could release an offline version so users can have their own replays of the story.
Even if have to pay for offline version, it's much better than disappearing from this world forever...

For me it's also the SWD games. I played the very first paid ones way waaay back then. The ninja one, and My sweet prince, actor to be before the company moved to the new system with split free/paid apps. I accepted that anyway and patiently endured their ticket system. I played a bit everyday during school break because despise the horrible system, I still liked the characters. It's very sad that the series had to come to an end like that.

Actually what upsets me isn't that the games shut down, but the fact that NTT Solmare does...nothing for the SWD fans! Like their entire portfolio only has Obey Me! They're already making their 3rd obey me game, talk about milking that thing.

Smaller companies I would understand, but Solmare is not! They clearly have the resources to save and archive the old SWD games. But they chose to brush off their old fans who have supported them since the very beginning. It's understandable companies need to move forward, but they're shooting themselves in the foot by blatantly disregarding their old customers.

Eugh, I feel the same about SWD... You don't just get to be formative to my childhood only for me to find out years into the future that I can't replay your routes. My favorite series was the Sherlock one. Just thinking about it puts me in a grieving mood. If that happened to Love 365, which I actually spent quite a bit of money on, I don't know what I'd do. Cry, probably.

Another one I'm not over is OKKO (e.g. Royal Midnight Kiss, Rental Boyfriends, Decoding Desire). I was patiently waiting for Midori from RMK to be released (he was out in JP and I even painstakingly translated all his promotional material back then) but then I never found the opportunity to play in English.

The one game I remember that made me sad was My Stella Knights; I played it for quite a while. The story wasn't anything grand, but I loved the game. Unfortunately, there are very few games focused on a female audience on mobile, at least not the ones that are translated. I didn't even get the chance to play Kiniro no Corda.

Genius Inc dissolved last year, and I was genuinely sad when it happened. Sure, their games might not have been the best, but they were still very entertaining. It's probably still possible to play their early titles (like Reverse Alice and The Fateful Encounter) on older devices, but everything else is lost now.

And it isn't even a good game!!! They butchered the characters' personality traits, didn't give the side characters proper sprites and the English translation is atrocious! Even as a lifestyle app it's a joke...

Arcana Twilight.
Although, its English translation was kinda hard to understand at times, I really loved all of the characters, especially Sirius, and really wanted to know what would happen next. It shouldn't have ended just like that.

I'm I the only one that miss Arithmetic Games? They were my guilty pleasure and Several Shades Of S was a great game, at least for me :) I too miss OKKO games and Wand of Fortune on Story Jar.

I read on reddit that Genius is now Interactive Studio and that they re-released their games but with different names.

Wait... Is this how I learn that Arcana Twilight has shut down?!?! I thought the devs are just taking a while to release the chapters as always...

Omg, I searched them up and the newer games are right there! Some of the app names are pretty weird now, but they're actually working. Didn't think I'd ever get to play them again, so I'm weeping tears of joy at the moment lol. Thank you!!!

晨曦列车 Le train d'Aurore,I will never forget it! I bought its paid story even dlc and drama, but it went out of business, so I can't play anymore.
But this game is only in Chinese. If someone wants to play this game through the translator, I will try to find resources to share

I LOVE SEVERAL SHADES OF S. I was a Murayama fan and, on another note, that was my first exposure to Okamoto Nobuhiko's voice acting. 🥹💛

Oh I liked Murayama too. Well, I liked almost everyone in this game! The only thing that I didn't like was that the other users there would constantly delete you for stupid reasons and I regret that I didn't invest more in the game when it still had events.

I was heartbroken when AFTER L!FE shut down. There was a character I truly loved, and I never imagined I'd have to say goodbye to them so soon.

It's been almost three years since the thirteenth chapter came out. The game still gets stability updates but there are no new chapters. Apparently, the developers think that it isn't popular enough.
In any case, the story feels unfinished and there are too many loose ends.

For me it is Meiji Tokyo Renka mobile version, I like the mobile version because of the 3 additional li that is in the mobile version which is not in the console version of the game
