I like it, however I dropped the anime because there is half a decade gap between each season, I think I'll read the novel later.

It's not a bad anime it's a bit of psychological thriller series so I recommend for ages +18 to have a better understanding

Thoughts on re:zero?

I don't like it but I also generally don't like anime/manga/games where the main character is intentionally sculpted as flawed and unlikeable for several volumes until he is forced by plot to "redeem himself". Some others absolutely love it. I guess the same happened in the past with Tales of the Abyss. As Re:Zero has several seasons adapted and LN volumes out, many people like Re:Zero.
