Seems to be working fine in Win 11 and win 10. Although had to run it in Japanese admin LE first for first run then it's fine

If you cannot start the game due to "side by side configuration is incorrect" error, download this vcredist(x86).
This should solve the issue.

thanks, this is the info i got when i googled it. i tried redownloading the visual C++ and from the link you gave me, but none of them worked for me. maybe i'll try on a different PC later and see if it works.

Maybe it's not the correct one; try search this one and see if help Visual-C-Runtimes-All-in-One-May-2023 , it's the latest released and contain the latest version of every package.
Please note al so that the side-by-side related errors usually came when is missing the .net framework , or you have installed the correct version but is not updated (yes, this is confusing), or also .net is installed but missing the latest version of the correct version of vc redistributable (again this is confusing but is how M$ do things).

Thanks, ^ this helped. For everyone that has problems with launching the game uninstall all Vc redist from your system, restart (just to be sure), google for and install the full pack from previous post. Works for me.

thanks, either i had to uninstall everything and fresh reinstall all of them or i needed 2005 version for this game to work.
